Hello everyone,
I found a job on a website called "UpWork". My job was test some websites and apps. After I done some testing, I was told that this project will be delayed and now I will do te next project which looks very suspicious to me and that's why I'm here. I was promised by this company that they will send me a new phone to do some testing and they will pay for it, €30 a month. They told me that I will have to connect it to a socket and also get TeamViewer on this phone. I haven't been paid yet by them. They told me that this project can last for a year or longer. Can someone tell me if it is legit or not? When I asked them if they got any other candidates to do this job, they said no because apparently they trust me. I would really appreciate if someone could give me an advice.

Speaking about testing, it will be actually more later. And now we have some other proposition for you. It is our second project with testing.

Cooperation conditions:
• We send or buy phone
- we can order the phone ourselves by means of Amazon at the address of the person
- or we can send, for example 50% for the phone in order the the person purchased it himself
• We pay all the costs - on a new charger (if necessary), purchase of sim cards...
• Monthly we will send €30 on the account stipulated in advance
• After completion of works - the person who worked with itcan leave the phone for himself

We expect from the person who received the phone the following:
• The activation of the phone after purchase
• Connection to home WiFi (maybe it will be necessary the help at reconnection of phone with WiFi at 3g)
• Connection of phone to the socket, it should be always active
• TeamViewer installation
• Resetting from time to time
• To buy sim cards of operators which we will specify and also the activation
• To change sim cards by agreement with our operator

For this project we need person now, We will buy phone for you and it will be on your home, and we will pay 30 euro/month for this. After this project, this phone you can leave for yourself.

in fact the phone just charging, we are connected through TeamViewer and can monitor

you assistance will be necessary at the beginning or at the end of the day (sometimes)
to reset, but as a rule it it will be extremely rare

before going somewhere - we reset the phones, check that everything is OK and that's all.

We will send money for you - you need to buy phone +sim cards, to activate it, to install app Team Vever, and to make sure the phone was charged and on charging.

This is a scam.

We will send money for you - you need to buy phone +sim cards, to activate it, to install app Team Vever, and to make sure the phone was charged and on charging.

They want you to buy the phone and sim cards and then install teamviewer software so they can control the phone remotely. They want your name on the account so that you will be responsible for all activity on the phone while they are protected and hiding behind an anonymous email address and telephone number.

Stop all contact with these criminals and do not tell them that you know this is a scam. Just go silent and let them wonder what went wrong.

Please post the email address and telephone number ( if any ) that are used in this scam.

It is ALWAYS a scam

What email address did they use to send the above email that you posted? Did they send that through text?
