Folks, beware of this scam, as it seems legitimate at first. I got an email in response to a craigslist ad I replied to a couple of days ago. At first look, it appeared that the email came from a legitimate email address, as it ended in @siskgroup.org. However, I am confident that this is a scam at this point. Below are the messages I received:

Like I said, I thought this seemed legitimate at first, so I replied asking about where they were going to open an office in the DFW area, where I happen to live. After all, the company is based out of Ireland. So I got a response from the alleged "Owen Sisk," who by the way, is a real person who works for this family-owned business. Too bad their company is being used as a scam by others! Basically, he claimed that they were expanding their business to the US as stated in the previous email, and he was going to be stationed in Texas.

By this point, I was a little suspicious, but I figured, what the heck, I'll just send him a copy of my resume. After doing that, I received the following email from him:

As you can see, they are trying very hard to sound like the real deal! However, I checked that number he provided out, and it comes from Georgia...not something you'd expect out of an Irish businessman, huh? I also managed to find the PR contact for the Sisk Group, and his email address doesn't match the @siskgroup.org format. I promptly emailed the PR contact to let him know that his company is being used by scammers.

Anyway, I'm deleting the emails now and won't be replying to them any longer. I just figured other people may find this useful in the future, since it seems I'm not the first one to be targeted, based on a poor review I found on Glassdoor.com about the Sisk Group.

siskgroup.org is a fake email-only domain registered for only one year by hidden. Please post the complete headers of the email from siskgroup.org so that we can kill it.

Definitely a scam. I as well ALMOST fell victim. Fortunately I'm naturally a very curious person and when things started not adding up I went with my gut feeling. even after I stopped communicating Mr. Sisk sent me a check for almost $4000. When I received it I immediately researched every amount of information on that check. The company the check came from has no connections to "Owen Sisk" and the company's address was misprinted after I verified online. I also researched the return address on the package the check came in,in which a females name appeared. I reached out but came of nothing.
Ultimately, it's A SCAM. Don't fall victim to these losers.

There is no job or payroll . He's trying to recruit you as a Fake Check Mule . Report this on the IC3 Website . Stop all communication with this scammer .

Legitimate companies do not hire strangers they never met to do their company payroll . Money Mule Scammers do this .
