I got a check for $2,200 via courier service the other day. The text messaging connected with this check has been chilling. As the dialog proceeds, the person pretending to be "Gibson Press" becomes intense and demanding. I have reproduced the exact syntax from the text messaging conversation.
My text messages were conducted with someone using the phone number 201-765-8598.
I see from the Internet that this is another version of the car wrap scam. I can see how someone might be bullied into depositing the check and following through with the scam.
What should I do next?

GP: Thanks for your response, We need individual with Vehicles/bike to advertise for Propel Water Drink company on your rear wind shield of your Vehicle and earn $450 weekly. The adds are typically graphics, auto wraps: You can use and car,Drive whenever you want.,To be at least 18 years above, you will getting paid via check,kindly get back to me with your Full Name,Address,City,State and Zip code to get started now..Gibson – received 1:02 pm

GP: 8:28AM Okay sound good, we will get back to you with the tracking number of the check and all other information. The specialist will come to your location to install the logo on your car. Moreso specialist fund will be included on the check you'll receive. which will be $2,200 and the remaining fund will be for the the specialist to install the decals on your car and come for the paper work to fill once you receive the check and How long do you intend to carry the advertisement on your car? One (1) month, two (2) months or three (3) months? Received 3:11 pm
