I just joined this forum, as I received an email exactly like this from someone called "Richard Green", advertising a job, and saying they were interested, I filled out an application form they sent out, and they then asked for a scan of my passport for "security purposes" or whatever, but, luckily, I googled them before I ever did that, and came across this post, so, thankyou for sharing this.

If anyone else gets an email from "Richard Green", delete it straight away, personally, I just wish I had googled it when I first received it, part of me was suspicious as it just didn't sound right (but, I filled out the form anyway, because I've recently graduated from uni, and it sounded too good to be true).

Again, thankyou for sharing this.

Thanks for the heads up madmax on the scam website attached to this fraudulent job offer.

Our resident 'site sniper' usually requests a copy of the mail header for the mail to you that outlines the job offer as that assists in getting the site shut down as evidence of fraud.

It's a bit like stomping on ants, when we'd much prefer to stomp on scammers, but we know how much it irritates them, so we do it out of love. :D

Like counterfeit cheques.

After all, if they wanted payment by Western Union, why not ask their customers to send it that way in the first place ? DOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

There's no job and no money - only counterfeit cheques and your money that the scammer wants to steal, and even if you haven't got any money, he can run up an overdraft for you if you make the mistake of banking the counterfeit cheque.

Non-EU citizens should go here to find out about obtaining a visa to work as an au pair in the UK
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/doineedvisa/
Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer
