What they want me to do is to buy "FOODSTUFF" and else, placed in a apartment or house, then they will sack everything out of it and then the check bounces

The writing tells me this is an African scammer. The check is going to bounce, but he is not going to be taking anything from an apartment, because does not actually have an apartment to put supplies in. He is not near the US and is not coming to the US. He is most likely in Africa or Malaysia.

He's not interested in food--he just wants cash. He talks about buying food in order to make himself seem more real (after all, why would they want food if they aren't actually coming?).

They will send the check, but they will send it for too much, or they will have a change of plans after they send the check, and suddenly won't need you to do their shopping. They will then tell you to send cash to someone by Western Union.

Note that on occasion they will actually have someone shop, but it will generally be for electronics (phones, laptops, etc.)--and then the person will need to ship those items to someone.
