I have been using a few job posting boards online, so I wasn't able to narrow down how this FAKE employer received my info. I applied for a Customer Service Rep. at Charles River Pharmaceutical Inc. The email contained a physical address that I researched and Charles River Development came up. Not the same. Also, the website that is noted in the email, is an official LOOKING site. The site boasts 70 years doing business in pharmaceuticals. Now, as I was trying multiple search engines, my search kept including Charles River Laboratories. The CR Lab is legit, real, research facilities worldwide. I'm betting that this is why the scammers think that their scheme will be successful. Hoping that some common person will just overlook the specific description in the email referring to themselves as CR Phamaceuticals.. not Laboratories. Look closely and even the scammers address is very similar in location to the CR Lab located in Burlington, MA. I was contacted to take part in an online interview, via Hangouts or Skype. I used Hangouts, and received an offer for employment. The job has paid training at $18 hr and $40 hr after 5 days of training. I was asked for basic info, name, address, phone, email. Never any personal info like SS# or routing info. I was told that the job would be an at-home position and I would receive a check for all of the necessary software required. After the interview, I continued my research. I looked up the price and availability of all of the software mentioned during the interview, about 6 programs. All of the for mentioned software was too close in similarity. It would be ridiculous to purchase so many programs that do the same tasks. SCAM! I am including the original email addresses and info, to help anyone in the future.
