I applied for a modeling gig on backstage.com. I received this email from [email protected] and I'm not sure if it's legitimate or not. I have pasted the email below. Thanks for your help.
"Hello,
Thanks for showing your interest in becoming one of our models
for the upcoming photo shoot that will be held by Flaunt Magazine.
My name is Jones Philips, I am the freelancer in charge of this
photo shoot.
The shoot is just a photo shoot to pose for our next edition magazine
covers, and we only need to take your pictures in different poses. The
shoot will not contain of any nudity and will be commenced in Oct 2017, but
the shooting date will depend on your available date in the month of Oct. The
shoot will be two hours and will be started by 11am and ended by 1pm. Also,
you won't need to travel out of your state for this shoot, because it
will be held in your city.
As a matter of choice, you can come along with anyone of your choice
to the shooting venue, so you can feel more comfortable and not
lonely. Our company will be taking care of you and providing a driver
that will be
picking you and anyone that will be coming with you to the shooting
venue if you don't have a car. We have our personal photographers to
give you the best poses and good shots. The company will be paying you
a sum of $450 as an hourly shooting rate,
and your total payment for the two hours shooting will be $900.00.
Please be notified that your payment will be paid in two
installments, we will be sending you a check of $3,995 which will
include your part payment of $450. You are to deduct the sum of $450
as your part payment, then the remaining balance should be remitted by
you to the wardrobe manager for the outfits payment that you will be
wearing for the shoot. Immediately the check is cleared, you will be
given an instruction on
how to send the money and your necessary statistics information across
to the store expertise. We're entrusting you with the outfits payment
because the payment has to go the store in your name in order to make
a total corresponding
with your other details we will be sending to the store along with
your measurement. Also, part of the shooting materials will belong to you after
the shooting.
