Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

Beware all - a scammer is posting ads in large city newspapers claiming to be Santos Ltd. out of Austrailia. Santos is a legitimate company and the scammer is using names of actual staff at Santos. My mother applied for a position and when they offered her a job without even doing an interview I told her to stop communication immediately. I contacted Santos Ltd. and of course they are not hiring in our city, or in any other city in the United States. Beware!

Here's a copy of just one of the emails they sent - this is one where they are making the job offer. All of the others are very similar, from the same address and use the same name. Note their insistance about using Yahoo chat - all of their other emails mentioned this too. They were more interested in getting her signed up for Yahoo chat than they were in knowing anything about her!

This is a scam that relies on adverts in newspapers [Los Angeles Times is popular] and then getting applicants to communicate by email and Yahoo chat. They are after people willing to deposit checks in their bank accounts - the classic `money mule' scam.

They use Yahoo and Live email addresses with variations e.g. [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected]. Keep well away from these people - juts a scam.

Whoa - the group has now switched to LA cell phone - 323 522 4733 - for their fake payroll job with Santos Limited. Looks like they are using this new cell phone number 3235224733 for other fake jobs including the driver jobs mentioned above

Don't respond to these devils

Oh yes, `Mr Seaton' the supposed CFO of Santos Limited uses the Yahoo address [email protected] to do yahoo chat with potential victims. As if a CFO of an international company would use Yahoo chat with such terrible grammar and spelling. what a scam from [email protected] :x
