I am curious to see if this is a scam. I think so but I am not sure. The weird thing is, is that it's from off of careerbuilder and I have never had this happen before, so I really have no idea if it's true or not.

Without seeing the email address or headers, it's shouting "scam" to me. I'm basing that on the amount of money offered for seemingly light duties, and that it involves the sending of "payments" to others.

Could you post the email plus any other contact information? I'm sure others are looking into the website.

Welcome to Scamwarners chowell2624 and I can only confirm what Martha suspects.

When you blow away the 'froth' it sounds as if you are being set up to receive counterfeit cheques. Never ever pay the cheques of strangers through your bank account, especially if you're expected to pay the money elsewhere.

To distribute the payments you would get access to our corporate account as soon as you get a full-time position. While you go through the training, you would have to use your personal account.

Businesses don't run their cashflow through the accounts of employees and there is no such job as receiving cheques and paying out cash. If they have an account they can direct customers to post their cheques to the bank. Your involvement is required so that you can be scammed by paying out cash on cheques that will bounce.

The worst part of this scam is that you can not only lose money but also get into serious trouble by passing counterfeit paper.

As others have said already, this is a scam. In fact, I recognized that script as one we had seen before, so a quick search led me to this: http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewto ... =4&p=49510

Look familiar? Notice how they slightly altered the company name and the "hiring coordinator" name.

Unfortunately, even sites like Careerbuilder will have their share of scammers. Scammers create fake company accounts on any job site they can. They quickly spam as many people as possible, because they know that their accounts will be closed as soon as it is clear they are scammers. When their accounts are closed, they start over with a new name and account. They continue to target these sites, because they know that if they appear to be affiliated with a reputable job site, this will make them appear to be more reputable themselves.
