Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

This is not a genuine modelling opportunity; it is a scam. The email was sent from Nigeria, as shown by the IP address.

In this type of scam, the scammer typically makes an advance payment by check - but sends more than the agreed amount, and asks for the excess money to be sent by Western Union or MoneyGram to somebody else. That somebody else is also part of the scam.

The check is actually fake or stolen, and when the bank discovers this, the money it represents will be removed again from the victim's bank account - and the victim will realise that the money sent via Western Union or MoneyGran therefore actually came out of their own money and savings. You can read more about this type of scam here:

Check Scams

The promised photo shoot will never happen. It is a lie to trick people into receiving fake or stolen checks and to send money to the scammer.

I’d like to know if you are interested in modeling, for your photos would be displayed on billboards, magazines and all major international airports in the UAE. We select pictures and photos that fit the required standard we have set down, from different sites on the Internet such as aupair, dating, social networks and modeling sites. Please let me know if you are interested in this job, if interested you are to send two pictures that will show your face clearly, for starters, you get a $700 before photo shoot after which you may negotiate your contract pay. Its also may be a chance to attain noticeable fame.
Thanks In Anticipation
Thomas.
