Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

I have received emails from 3 different "companies" regarding the same job post I responded on Craigslist.

The position is for a part time receptionist at a local dentist office. The emails I received asked me to go to their website to complete the information and to upload my resume. One site has a long form to complete and asked you to accept advertisement offers for various products. The other asked to sign in Facebook for application.

I searched for all 3 emails through Pokeo and email finder; none were valid. Email address and website are as follows:

[email protected] http://realty-advisors.info?id=18ca94c0f3
[email protected] (really?) http://mymediasolutions.info?id=584b20a505
[email protected] http://serviceseo.info?id=fcb9a6bb8e (this one in particular was elaborate on compensation and benefits...Her email:

Thank-you Sevenelevelin for posting the info and alerting others to this fraud.
The serviceseo.info shows the registration created on 23 May 2011 and expires 23 May 2012.
Sponsoring Registrar:GoDaddy.com Inc.
Registrant Name:Administrator Administrator
Registrant Organization:iFastNet Internet
To only register for a twelve month period is a favourite scammer ploy.
The other 2 domains will probably be the same I would imagine.

Welcome to Scamwarners. You'd probably be "employed" to bank fake checks and send money to the scammer by Western Union. Or reshipping goods bought with stolen credit card numbers.
The other main employment scam is aimed at non-residents who are asked to pay imaginary fees for a visa work permit, etc which doesn't seem to be the case here.

I just applied (and sent my resume) to a poster yesterday looking for an Optometrist assisant/receptionist position in Tallahassee. I have never used Craigslist before, but have had many friends do so without issue. I used it once to apply for this job, got a response today from the "employer" and for some reason decided to google their email address. Lo and behold I was led to this site. This is the response I received.

I am worried now because I had personal information (address/phone) on my resume (as most do) and now this random scammer has this information. What types of scams do they do? Is it some sort of identity fraud? What can they do with my information? The link they provided just simply linked me to my own facebook, nothing else. I changed all my passwords to everything just in case, but what sort of thing can happen from this?? I have never been scammed online before.

Welcome to Scamwarners.
He's after your money, and there would be a request for you to pay fees at some stage. The only reason he asked for your personal details is that a real employer would do so. He has no interest in them, and in any case your address and phone number isn't enough for identity fraud.

best thing to do with craigslist, send a letter of interest and go from there.

be safe!

here is an addition to that scam, too.
