To readers who are not sure how this scam works:

The scammer has somehow phished the details of a victim's credit card which he is going to use to buy appliances etc. He might even have stolen the details of an account with a freight company, e.g. FEDEX or UPS. His problem is that a lot of companies refuse to ship to suspect countries, e.g. Nigeria, because they have been scammed before.
So the scammer will use your name and address and have the appliances sent to you. You will have to send the appliances to the scammer, again using stolen credit card or freight company details, or you will be paid with a counterfeit cheque.
Sooner or later the scam will be detected, and the money trail will lead to you. The scammer is safe in an African country where the police couldn't care less.
