Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

I received an e-mail after applying to a position on craigslist.org directing me to go to this website. I looked on www.scamnews.com and found there are similar messages/websites that are scams. This is ridiculous. I spend more time dealing with the scammers than I do applying for jobs!

This exact thing happened to me....I got the same email directing me to jobapplicationscreening.org Thankfully the page didn't come up, so I Googled it. I really hate it because the job I applied for, I was very interested in.
It was a Craigslist ad, of course. I am OVER CRAIGSLIST!!! They should be outlawed. I have never gotten a good response for anything on the site. No job responses, unless it's a scam!
Anyway, thanks for posting your email. Now, I won't get screwed and waste my time with it.

Add me to your group. I received the same reply with a link in the email to click on (which I did not). I looked up info on this easy screening online org and there is no such thing. I am sure had I clicked on the link, it would have sent me to either a site where they would want my credit report (to get my SSN) or some other scam. :x

These scammers are getting "smarter." The job I applied for was a secretary job and did not appear "fake" in any way. It was well written, had proper grammar and the spelling was correct. AND NOW, they are even including within their emails replies, notices to be aware of scammers, even including a link directly TO Craig'sList scam page!

I have applied to a LOT of jobs on Craig'sList and the only responses I have received were scams.

C.L. is becoming a huge waste of time. I now only reply with an email stating that due to the overwhelming amount of scam/fake job posts, I am requesting more information on the position, where the company is located, a phone number, etc., etc., before I send my resume/personal information. If they are a valid company and it is a legitimate job, they will understand. If they do not, I don't want to work for them.

Below is the scam response I received.

Same story here: a C/L ad for a property manager...unfortunately, I sent my resume so I am likely DOOMED! Anyway, the same company has 1/2 dozen ads every day under different job headings...I knew it was a scam as soon as I read the poorly written piece of crap directing me to: easyjobscreening.org, the same letter received by everyone else on here. It's interesting; I typically use the C/L Inland Empire section and have sure noticed that other geographical areas do not get the spammers. Of course, I spend half of my time "Flagging" on C/L...not that they ever pull those ads. Oh well, 'tis the nature of the beast I guess!

Welcome to ScamWarners rjmannex, Kimba, julz77 and tgh123 . Scammers do use Craigslist a lot. Typically they are not trying to steal your identity, so you are not "doomed". They want your money. They want you to pay a fee to move forward chasing the mythical job. There is no legitimate job.

If they do "offer" a job, it will be doing illegal activities like printing forged checks and mailing them, receiving property that was obtained illegally and reshipping it or depositing forged checks and sending money to them by Western Union.

Just drop contact with the scammer.
