My wife was involved with this scam and we lost about $1,500. Have you had any luck identifying the person behind this scam? Do you have any suggestions for recovering the money?

Welcome to ScamWarners bcm1229, I am sorry to hear your wife was scammed. The money is gone. There is no way to trace to find out who the person is that is perpetrating the scam. They hide behind fake email addresses and receiving money through Western Union which is anonymous.

Your best thing to do is to forgive and move on. Please feel free to read about the site and learn about the various types of scams we cover and add to our information base.

Bubbles, former Scamwarners moderator.

Rest in Peace 24 June 2015.

Gone, but never forgotten.
