Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

I replied to an ad from a popular job search site (CareerBuilders.com) and I have reservations as to their legitimacy. Can anyone verify this company?

UK Finance Services
Allerford Rd 11, London, SE6 3DF, United Kingdom.
Tel: +4(433)-0001-7767
Fax: 5082760059
Web site: uk-finance-services.biz
Although the website "looks" legit, I still have reservations. The Human Resources manager is a guy named Allen Simen. They claim to be a finance company looking for U.S. agents to promote their services to their international clientel. They list partners on the site whom are BBB accredited, as they also claim to be accredited themselves. But can they really be trusted?

This is definitely a time to trust your instincts. It is indeed a scam.

Domain Name: UK-FINANCE-SERVICES.BIZ
Registrant Name: Domain Admin
Registrant Organization: PrivacyProtect.org
Domain Registration Date: Wed Oct 19 00:34:12 GMT 2011
Domain Expiration Date: Thu Oct 18 23:59:59 GMT 2012

So this is supposedly an established company, yet the domain was registered 2 weeks ago, and for one year Notice the copyright claims 2002, and the website itself says "Our company works since 2004. These people can't make up their minds as to when their fake business started!

In addition, a privacy service was used to hide the domain owner's information. While there are sometimes legitimate reasons for privacy protection (for example, sites like scamwarners often use privacy protection to prevent angry scammers from launching personal attacks on the people behind the site, and people who have their own domains for personal reasons may use protection to prevent being spammed/scammed), there is no reason for a supposedly registered public business that needs customers to be able to find it.

I could go on to point out many other problems with the website, but I think it's pretty clear already.

Could you please post any emails you received from this domain (remove your name and email address first)? They will help to provide evidence our site killers will need to get that fake shut down so others can't be hurt.

Here is yet another example of the scam correspondence I have been receiving from a man who calls himself Allen Simen, [email protected] :

Hello Marvin Chambers Jr. Thanks for your detailed letter! We understand
your position. therefore, we want to help you! You can start to take
advantage of your bank-account. I think your bank account, will meet
our requirements. After several transfers, you will have the money to
open your new bank account. after each bank-transfer, you get 5
percent of the amount transferred. this is a good income for you.
therefore, do not try to end our relationship with you. company is
willing to work with you. you are aware of our work. If you have time then we will wait for you.

I have been unable to find the ad they placed on CareerBuilders.com, but I have more conversations I can forward if you need them. Thank you.

I hope you havn't sent the personal information listed above. You may need to inform your bank because of the possiblity of using information to make a fake credit card in your name- if you have . Your last post shows a money laundering scam and whatever money seems to be deposited will be quickly removed by bank when the owner finds out his money has been milked. You may find that your account can be milked as the scammer works on the next victim. I don't know if you are getting fake cheques to deposit, if so it will take sometimes up to 3 months before they finally bounce and you will be out of pocket, and scammer will have your money.

Welcome to ScamWarners kwestm. Please post up the email you received this information from. That will help others checking to see if they are being scammed.

That IS a scam, so it is best to just move on and stop communicating with them.
