I have received a job offer from Debasco hotel london and had received a call from Mr Tommy Duke for some confirmation however I am not sure if this is real or fake. Please help me in saving myself from any employment scam and any kind of criminal offence.

This is a scam, not quite the same as the other one you listed, the telephone number provided is a premium rate one, if you call it you will be charged a lot of money.

It may well develop into a visa scam as with your other posting if you reply.

If you get these sort of mails check out the name of the company at www.192.com and you will get the real details of the hotel/business concerned.

Thanks for providing me the information. I have again received an email along with the appointment letter from their side. I tried to check their website and the number is same which is mentioned in their email and I got a call from the same number confirming my employment. the phone number which called me is +44-87197 42052 but I am dead sure that the person give me a call was not a British and was someone from African country like Philippine or Nigeria. I found their website but unable to find any information about Debasco hotel on google at all. I think Debasco Hotel does not even exist in real as their room charges listed on their website are around 4200 GBP. Please help me in getting some more information about the same and also help me in understanding if they can be harmful for me as I have already sent them my detailed CV and some of my personal information in their interview questioner. Fake sites will be reported - Michael

The website is a fake one, set up by the scammers themselves to make the scam look more real. That is why the phone numbers match.

How do I know this? Domain registrations are easy to look up. I use this site myelf, but there are others too: http://centralops.net/co/DomainDossier.aspx

So here are key things from the registration that tell me this is fake:

Tremol Fleshdin This is clearly a fake name, and a pretty bad one at that.

Registrant type:
UK Individual This is supposed to be a hotel. I would expect the registration to be in the business name, not an individual name

Relevant dates:
Registered on: 19-Aug-2011 - so the website is only 3 months old--odd for what is supposed to be a major hotel If this was a brand new hotel, Google would lead to lots of articles and information about the launch of a new major hotel--but there is nothing.
Renewal date: 19-Aug-2013 This means the site was registered for 2 years, which is the minimum allowed period for .co.uk sites.

Sometimes googling distinct lines of a website (in quotes) can help you a lot in determining if something is a scam. In this case, google leads me straight to jollyleisurehotel.com, another website that is clearly a fake. Googling that site shows that it is being used in the same job scams. I can also see the typical signs of a scammer on the site--good English that is clearly copied, mixed with poor English and cut-and-paste errors that show the site was not put together by someone from UK.

44-871 numbers are like 44-70 numbers--they are redirect phone numbers that appear to go to UK, but can be forwarded to phones all over the world.

As far as the information you gave them goes, I wouldn't worry too much if you haven't given financial (banking, credit card etc.) information. You will likely see more scams directed at you, but just be careful and alert and you will be fine.

Hopefully our site killers will be able to get both fake websites killed. It would help if you could post the headers from the emails you received (just delete your own email address.)

Thanks for the information. They have my phone number, passport number, my family back ground, my educational and work experiance details with them. Can they misuse this information in any way as they have my cell phone and passport number with them along with my scanned photo?
