hi,
i have been receiving mails from a certain job placement agency from uk/ london since first week of january. just ignored the first ones and finally replied on them on the 3rd mail. they required me to prepare some documents which should be in euro format. with this, i availed the services of a company (translation services) fixing documents like this and got me the eu labor number. it was processed in 1 day. i also availed the courier service, they were the one who sent it to the employer. last time i communicated with the agency and translation services, docs were delivered to the employer. they have also sent me a copy of the docs via email. either the employer or agency will notify me re the status of the application. work permit takes about 2-8 weeks to be processed they said. also checked it in ireland's official govt website, it says the same time period. i still have doubts, the offer seems too good to be true. i was offered an admin position, which i suppose is not a skilled job there. i mean, they could easily find a local for that position as it does not require some special skills. but i still gave it a try considering that i spent a minimal amount (36 pounds) compared to others where they will ask you to pay a huge amount of money. I am just also concerned for the others who will also bee lured with this scam. i've attached one our conversation via ym (kindly take note of the part wherein the recruiter obviously got disappointed when i asked about the legitimacy of the employer as well as some points on ireland's ineligible list) and also some of their mails.hoping for your response, thank you.

This is a definite scam.

This particular group of scammers has been operating for years, and has had dozens of fake websites, including centrumjobs, jobs777, and many others. I know it is the same group for 2 major reasons: the first is that they run the exact same scam each time, changing only the names; and the second is that the labor number is an invention of these scammers, and is a part of all of their scams.

One of the things these scammers do is pretend to be people who have been helped by their fake companies, posting fake positive reviews or testimonials on sites like complaintsboard. The review you have pointed to is one of these fakes--it was posted by the scammers themselves, in order to make their scam look more believable. This is also a normal part of this group's scams.

When I received it, I did not bother giving any attention to it because as far as I could remember, I did not applied for any job position such as this. Then the next day they sent me another email containing 20 interview questions which should be submitted after 1-2 days. Even though in doubt, I still answered the questions and submitted it on time then another email was sent by them telling me that I qualified for the position mentioned above and that I should proceed to the next step which is obtaining a European Union labour department number which should be done by coordinating with a particular agency. Which is in this case, I started to feel a little bit legitimacy with the things they've been telling me. I also tried verifying their email add and I got an OK. So I said, "why not give it a shot then." They sent me an email just hours ago similar like the one mrjcm posted:

I view the translation agency they have mentioned to me and there I found out that they were asking a certain amount of money for their services (30 pounds). And then, that's the time I start doubting again so I decided to look up about their company's legitimacy and thank God I found this site.

I hope this would help awaken those people who have been receiving these kind of mails. LET'S ALL BE AWARE AND VIGILANT. When people are starting to ask some money then back down....don't let them get your money the easiest way possible. I also received a scam about TESCO EXTRA SUPERMARKET the same day as this. just to let you know guys, they sent me a mail saying that they cancelled my application with the employer because of the comments I have been posting here. Ayaw nila yung mga links na pinost ko re employment scam. they said that already communicated with the employer and have discontinued my application. wow, that easy. so ganun lang yun. good thing, there was not a lot of money involved. i did some research and emailed the Employment Permits Section of the Ireland gov't., relayed my issue and replied to me just a while ago. I come into writing due to a mail that I have received early January about
a possible job placement for me in your country. It was after a couple of
mails until I decided to send my response. It was stated in one of their
mails that I have qualified for a job vacancy in a company in Dublin. The
thought of just spending a minimal amount of cash (around 33 Euros + 19
Euros for the courier) convinced me immediately to give it a try. After
these transactions, they advised to wait for the employer to communicate
with me. they gave the name of the employer who will hire as their
Secretary, company name is (company name) in Dublin. Feeling halfhearted, I
tried researching for the company as well the official government website
of Ireland. Found out a couple of information such as the Ineligible List
of Job Categories which states that Clerical/ Administrative positions are
not considered for you to be given a work permit in Ireland. It was then I
inquired this issue to the recruiter whom I have only been communicating
through Yahoo Messenger. Upon relaying my query, he instantly got
disappointed and told me that I am accusing them. I was also able to do
some research on some websites such scamwarners.com. On this website, I
found out that this is a part of the scheme of an employment scam. When
they found out about my comments in the website, they advised me that they
have discontinued and cancelled my application with the employer, (company name) because of my behavior. (viewtopic.php?f=34&t=31300)

Believing that what happened was really part of the scam, I'd still like to
know if the Recruitment Agency is real so as to help others who are also
being lured by this group of people. I'd like to know if you are aware that
they are using such company names to trick people who only are hopeful to
find a job abroad. Currently, I am trying to communicate with (company name).
I am hoping for your response on this please. Below, I have stated the name

These scammers have nothing to gain, and everything to lose by admitting the truth, so they will continue to lie. They also know nothing about how real employment permits are issued, because they aren't actually getting anyone jobs.

If you were to send documents to them by post, assuming they gave you a real address, it would conveniently turn out that there was something wrong with them, and they would tell you that you couldn't get a job with the documents you provided.

As much as it is understandable that you want to confront the scammer, we advise that you don't educate scammers, or they will improve their scams for next time. These people have no intention of giving up scamming--they have been moving from one scam to the next over a period of several years.

Incidentally, there is no such thing as a "European state force office," but if you google it, you will find several of their other scams.
