Dear Xxxxxxx
RE: WORK PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESS
This is Mr. Rudy Burriss, legal representative for Jewel Savanah Boutique Hotel - UK on Employee travels and immigration.
Congratulations on your job offer.
Please be advised that I will be in charge to apply for the Tier 2 Work Visa, therefore any initial application you have with the United Kingdom's Official Website should be canceled.
I will be handling the processes of your work permit, and related registrations to enable you come down and begin work here in the United Kingdom as soon as possible. I will like your full commitment to this process.
If this application is successful, you will be issued a Tier 2 Work Permit. Tier 2 Work Permits would usually be issued for a maximum of 3 years. Towards the end of this period we will make an extension application. Because you work for a multinational company and would have acquired a lot of immigration points due to salary and a steady employment, we will apply for an Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), also known as Permanent Residence, which grants you the right to live and work in the UK free of immigration restrictions.
Your category of the Tier 2 Work Permit will be the intra-company transfer category, which is for employees of multi-national companies who are being transferred by an overseas employer to a skilled job in a United Kingdom based branch of the organisation.
The process is straight forward and pretty simple. It is explained in the following steps;
Step 1.
To apply for a United Kingdom Work Permit send us a scanned copy of your signed contract letter and a copy of current Bio page in Passport [Page(s) with the passport expiration date]. Send these documents to us by email or Fax.
Step 2.
I will complete your application form, attach your documents with all the supporting documents we have received from the company and take them to the Government agency responsible for work permit, and they will give us a feedback usually within (3) days, although in most cases we may get a response earlier.
Step 3.
Every first time applicant for Work Permit must be registered by the United Kingdom Employment board for an Employment number before the Work Permit is issued by the home office. So the home office will send a letter of endorsement after we apply, and state the fee needed to register. I will forward this letter to you for action. The company cannot make this payment on your behalf, but will reimburse you through your relocation allowance as soon as your work permit is received. After payment is received, your application will be given approval, and then documents will be sent to you by safe post.
Step 4.
An appointment letter with the British Embassy will be contained in the mail you will receive. On the appointment date, you will go to the British Embassy at the address and time stated, then you passport will be stamped. If there are any other documents, they will be given to you during this appointment. Thereafter, the company will be notified, and you will be contacted to provide your account information so they can wire your relocation allowance to you. At this point, your flight will also be booked on a date convenient for you, and e-ticket information will be sent to you via email. Details for your accommodation will also be mailed to you.
Step 5.
You will be picked up at the airport. The keys and servicing details of your new apartment will be handed to you.
Step. 6
For the next two weeks, you will be given an orientation at work, a tour around the city and beyond will also be arranged for you. The company will give you details of the tour and orientation.
I hope to get a feedback from you soon. Thank you.
