Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

Hi Justin,
I apply for a job as a nanny in gumtree.ie yesterday and I got an answer today. As I was reading the email from the beginning I thought, this is weird, then I continue and I was almost 100% sure that this is a scam. The reason that I'm sending you the email is to prevent that somebody is naive enough and fall for it and ending in a lot of trouble or even in jail.
Please spread the word around so hopefully nobody gets in trouble.
Tks

Hello,

Thanks for the mail? Can you do something apart from babysitting? Are you available to run errands? Because i get some one else to take care of my kid but i think we can still do something good together, because i need someone who can handle my personal business errands at his/her spare time. Someone who can offer me these services: Mail services: Receive my mails and i will instruct where to drop it (nothing illegal). Shop for Gifts Sit for delivery( at your home) or pick items up at nearby post office at your convenience. Let me know if you will be able to offer me any of these services. All errands will be in your city/town so It is not a must that you have a car for the job, you can go places by bus or taxi. When you get my mails/packages; you are required to mail them to where I want them mailed to. You won't have to put packages will be business and personal mails. Hello carovialr!

Great job spotting the scam! This is a common work from home scam. Typically the victim is asked to receive items purchased with stolen credit cards and re-ship them. They are often also asked to receive checks and cash them sending the money to the scammer via Western Union. All of which is illegal activity the scammer is tricking the victim into doing.

Please delete out your email address in the post. Scammers use programs to search the Internet for email addresses and you probably don't want anymore scammer mail.

Also it sounds like you are looking for an Au Pair job. Be very careful as there are a lot of scams involving Au Pair jobs. Check out this for more information http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewto ... =42&t=3019
