I had applyed with as a mystery shopper with Market Force, Inc. also uses another contact name and email. Mark Diller at [email protected]. I received two Money Gram money orders today. Each in the amount of $970.00. These came via express mail from David Shapiro, 48 Free st, Portland Me, 04101-3872. Uninsured, no instructions and no signature needed. Just the money orders. I couldn't understand why any company or person would just send money like that. The instructions came in an email. I was to take them to my bank to cash them and then go to a money gram station and send them to Debra Jacobs at 21 Rosen St., Malate, Manila (zip) 1250 Philippines (typed as spelled). Several flags raised so I took them to a check cashing place near my house. I only showed them one at first. I asked them if it was any good. That's when I found out these scammers trust that you'll deposit the mo's, then do what they asked. By the time the bank finds out there bad the money is gone and your stuck with the bill. I turned both in and received a photo copy. The ones I received would be payable through Wells Fargo. I will be informing them.

It is great that you checked into this situation foxbear2. Scammers do count on the checks not being recognized. Some banks do recognize the fake checks, and it is good that the check cashing agency recognized them as forgeries.

Your best course of action is to just stop communicating with the scammer. Please post the email address you received the instructions from.
