I saw a job posting vacancy in the internet looking for an F&B crew for a crew ship. I tried sending my CV and a CAPT. JACK MANNIX replied saying that i am qualified. He offered a 2 year contract with a very promising salary and benefits. I have a feeling that this is a scam. please help me. here are some messages he sent:

Contract Period: 2 Years contract and it can be extended if only you wish to remain with our company

Vacation : 3 Month Vacation Interval for you to visit your love ones and family back home

I have contacted the cruise ship VOYAGES IF DISCOVERY asking if MR/CAPT. JACK MANNIX is working with them and here is the reply:

With reference to your email, we have had a few of these over the previous months and I regret that these emails you have received are a hoax. We do not have anyone by that name who works for our company.

There is little chance of catching the scammer using the name JACK MANNIX. The scammer has either made up the name, or they have stolen the name from a real person.

It would great if we could just send the police to the scammer's door to arrest him. Scammers are crafty and do not use anything directly tied to their real life.

Posting up their email address, the script they use and the information from their headers is one of the best things that can be done to hurt scammers. Thank you for posting.
