The website is probably genuine, but the scammer has made sure he's picked one with the script in Japanese characters so that you can't check any details.

They send you worthless counterfeit cheques and ask you to send them money in exchange, and deal with the police.

Note: The Sunoco Oil Company is not behind this scam. It is being perpetrated initially via West Africa by worthless scammers not connected to Sunoco Oil Company.

I received the following email yesterday and when googling the address came across this thread dont know if it is related or not

It's certainly a scam, and similar to the one posted above. Claiming to be a genuine business having trouble being paid by foreign customers is a common scam format.
