Thank you for posting this. It is a definite scam. The scammers want you to turn fake checks or stolen bank information/credit cards into cash for them. Performing these activities can not only cost you a lot of money, but can put you at risk of being arrested for a crime.

hey i got a very similar email. i just replyed with my email address and mobile number. no other information apart from my home address could anything happen to me for that ?

It is possible they will send you a check, and then try to threaten you into cashing it and forwarding money. Sometimes they even threaten to send the FBI after you.

If they send you a check, rip it up, give it to the police, or write fake in large permanent ink on it so it is clear you cannot try to cash it. Just ignore the scammers until they go away--you have done nothing wrong.

It is also possible they will target you with more scams, so just be alert.

Beyond that, there is nothing to worry about.

I received the same email. I responded with my information and they replied with more vague information which led me to research them further, thus eventually arriving here. I guess I can look forward to being bothered by scam artists now. Awesome.

Want everyone to be aware of this company I'm glad to have found out this information, but the company I ran into was HighTech Epoch Group. They almost had me because I could not find any negative information about them and then when i saw this the same information about others companies yall had trouble with they use the same information. What made me skeptical was dealing with money grams and western unions. I"m glad i found his website because i would have thought if i can't find no bad news on this company it could possibly be real but I'm glad i found out and i just basicallly tried an account that I don't use much and I transfered any monies i may have had.

These scammers change their "company" names frequently, so it is not surprising that you didn't get a match. When you are researching a company, you shouldn't only look for bad reviews. It is also important to look at how much information is out there. If there is little to no information, or it is all exactly the same (for example, all you find is advertisements for job opening), that should be another significant red flag.

Since you gave them bank account information, you should still notify your bank, so that they can reverse any fraudulent transactions that may occur. If your account is used for fraud and it looks like you may have known about it (moving your money out is certainly a sign that you knew something was wrong), you could still find yourself losing lots of time and money, and possibly even face jail time if it goes to criminal charges.

Companies have bank accounts and don't need to pass their money through the accounts of their employees.

The minute anyone pretending to be a company mentions doing this, stop all communication and take steps to protect and secure your bank account if you have already given details of it to the criminals.

Only criminals want a 'mule' to launder money for them because they need someone to help them steal money and take the blame.

Personally I would never post my details on any employment site as your details are immediately made available in bulk to anyone who is prepared to pay cash for them, and I sincerely doubt that any company ever bothers to scan online CV's for employees.

Job sites want your CV because you're giving them a commodity they can sell and you have no control over who gets to see your personal information, and it's obvious that scammers are very keen customers of job sites who can provide targeted lists of the potential victims they seek.

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle
