I also received one of these emails in reply to a job advert on gumtree, so glad that I was suspicious straight away and googled it to make sure. Still quite convincing though! What got me was that half of the email was about UKASH, surely they would have sorted all this at the interview/training if legitmate? Don't get caught out!

Of course any company picky enough to require a CRB check would not use a free email address to contact job applicants and would use its company account to receive job related fees.

Equally no real company would offer a job to a person they've never met and performing a CRB check on someone who hasn't been identified face to face is pointless. To identify someone you have to match the face in front of you to the form of ID presented.

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle
