Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

Okay, I got this the other day, likely in response to one of the ads I replied to on Gumtree.com.au

There were also two documents attached to this e-mail, one was an application form asking for private information, the other had info on this phony job, i'll copy that second one below, and seperate them with a boatload of dashes, so you know where the email ends and the pdf begins.

I looked up the website they supplied, it's some sort of online fashion store, that by all appearances is based in New York and does NOT hire in Australia.

Thanks for posting this one. Any online job that involves receiving and forwarding money is a scam, and as you already realized, this fits squarely into that category. It is an attempt to recruit mules for money laundering, and could open "employees" to a whole mess of trouble.

Scammers often do use names of legitimate companies to make their scams more believable, but they have nothing to do with the real company, of course. Often they register a domain similar to that of the real company--sometimes they simply spoof a sender email address, and have you reply to a different address, or they use a compromised (phished) address from the company.

In this case, it looks like the domain is a fake, and they have cloned a real website, bluefly.com.

I just got this email too. I called the number on the bottom, and it always says "Our reps are busy at the moment, leave your name and number and we'll call you back."
I also clicked the facebook and twitter links on the website, and neither exist, so I searched the name on facebook, and it came up with one guy listing Beauty Invest Limited as his employer and as weird as it sounds, he looks like his voice would match that of the one who is speaking on the voicemail.

This is super suspicious, and being that I've been out of work for so long, it's super annoying to be fooled into thinking it may have been real.

I hope that whoever is running this crap gets caught.
