Earlier today I applied for a job on craigslist and got this e-mail as a response, I wasn't quite sure about it so I googled "creative derict media" and found this site, I'm almost positive it's a scam but I can't flag it on craigslist because the post has already been deleted.

Its corporate policy that we have applicants sent through our link so we are compliant with the U.S employment standards act. You should copy and paste this link in your browser and complete the free report now: http://creativeabov.org/Apply/freereport . Fill out the form and indicate that you want the free report. PLEASE DO NOT email us your report. Instead print it and bring a copy for the interview as we have to have this on record. Since this is simply a pre-screen formality your actual score will not affect your chances of being hired. Please take a few minutes to accomplish this now.

After completing the score report please respond stating:
-The finest time period for us to hold the interview. Morning (8-12) or evening (1-5)
-The account reference number you received after you completed the credit check (we'll cross-check with our records at the interview).
I'll call and confirm your interview upon completing the above mentioned.

With anticipation,
Mike Stevenson

Hello hwolfe11,
Thse fake job posts on Craigslist are setup to drive internet traffic to a credit report site. The goal is to collect a small fee for each person the asks for their credit report via this scheme and to get you to sign up for a credit service that you do not want or need.

See this thread for additional details.

Hello,
I have received the same email and also identified it as a scam. I have heard of employers doing a credit check but they don't usually ask the prospective employee to bring it or submit it to them. This email went directly to my spam box.
