Description of the scam:
Reshipping Scam

The early emails I received:

Good Day,

Thank you for your query. My name is Craig Mineweaser, Manager of Customer Assistance at BostonCoach Inc. (http://www.bstncoach.com). Our company primarily manages correspondence and distribution for customers of certain countries wanting to trade on the Internet, especially for buying and selling on eBay.com and its worldwide, 24-hour auction, but also other online stores.

Why we do this…
We provide a service to citizens of Russia and certain eastern European countries who want to buy and sell at Internet stores servicing the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Denmark, but find it difficult to do so because of shipping restrictions and complicated transactions. As a result, thousands of people in Russia and Eastern Europe are unable to easily access the huge, competitive market that America and the European countries mentioned have created, which provides quality merchandise at low prices. Our company provides a service that makes buying and selling in these markets easy and possible with American and European street addresses that can be legally used for shipping purposes. Much like having a friend or relative in America, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium or Denmark, our merchandise managers residing in these countries forward the packages of merchandise bought or sold on the Internet to customers in Russia and the other eastern European countries. That is why we contract with people like you for parcel forwarding. Also, we plan to expand our services and will need smart, responsible people who can be trained for management positions.

Description of Goods shipped through our service:
- Consumer electronics
- Sporting goods equipment
- Luxury items such as watches and jewelry
- Personal computers and computer components for desktop systems, Notebooks, PDAs
- Office equipment
- Mobile electronics (cellular phones, pagers, GPS, etc.)
- Small car parts
- Clothing

We don’t offer to ship parcels that contain materials and technologies restricted for export or import, and all parcels are small and compact enough to be placed and processed within the room of a normal-sized house.

Job description: Parcel Forwarding Contractor

As a Parcel Forwarding Contractor, you will be responsible for:

1. Receiving correspondence and packages from our company and its clients at your physical residential address;

2. Reporting to an assigned, personal manager we will provide;

3. Re-labeling parcels received at your address by following instructions our manager will send by email.

4. Completing forms and paperwork as instructed—one for each parcel to be forwarded.

5. Forwarding parcels received according to instructions by our manager. (You will receive prepaid shipping labels so you are not responsible for any cost of shipping.)

Note: There are no start-up fees or other costs to you related this position.

How payment works: You earn for next actions, as follows:

Base salary is $2450.00 monthly.

Bonuses:

Package reshipping: $25.00 per parcel (20 Euro for Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark)

Envelope reshipping: $10.00 (7 Euro for Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark)

Packages storage(if you don't receive shipping label): $10.00 for each 5-day you period (7 Euro for Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark)

During an initial, four-week trial period, you will receive 8-12 packages per week. If your work is satisfactory and you wish to continue, we will send about 50 packages per week to your address for processing and forwarding.

You will be paid at the end of your trial period (four weeks from when you have shipped your first package). Should you continue in the position, you will be paid bi-weekly by company check or, if you prefer, PayPal.

Once your trial period is completed and satisfactory, we will offer you a long-terms contract (6 or 12 months).

Please respond to the following questions:

Can you or an adult family member be at home during the business day to receive parcels? To qualify for this position, someone must be at home Monday through Friday during business hours to sign for parcels. They cannot be left unattended at the door.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about our company and this position. I look forward to hearing from you again.

Respectfully,

--
Craig Mineweaser,
BostonCoach Inc.

Hello,

This job is absolutely legitimate. We don't act against any local or foreign laws.
If the package is damaged - you are not responsible for it. Even if you ship it out in perfect condition but the customer received it damaged.
If you received damaged package - please let your manager know. She/he will solve this issue.

You will not be handling any payments, bids, etc. Only packages.

If you agree to work with us - we will sign the contract with you and will send the 1099 form in the end of the year.

About the work process, step by step:

1. You will receive notification about upcoming parcels with tracking numbers on your email.
2. You will receive parcels containing merchandise from a vendor at your residence.
3. You will send an email with the details to your manager to confirm that the package was received.
4. After that you will receive a prepaid shipping label and shipping instructions for each parcel from your manager via email.
5. You will print out and use the label to re-ship the parcel.
6. You will send an email with confirmation that you re-shipped the parcel along with the details to your manager.
7. After 4 weeks from your first shipment, you will receive payment of $2450.00 + $25.00 (20 Euro for Belgium, Denmark and Netherlands) for each shipment you made during the trial period. You can choose to be paid by company paycheck or by our PayPal deposit. If you will be continuing as a Parcel Forwarding Contractor with us, after trial period you will be paid bi-weekly.

Please let me know if you would like to continue.

Thank you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for your application. We are officially registered in Finland. But no, we are not registered in US. We have an office in US, but we only have our lawyers there. We have approved your qualifications, and are prepared to offer you the position of Parcel Forwarding Contractor. However, before we begin, you will need to email us a scanned copy of your valid driver’s license or other formal identification to verify your name as it is associated with your physical address. If you feel uncomfortable with providing such personal documents, you can send a copy of a utility or phone bill, as long as what you scan and email to use associates your name with the physical address you claim.

You will also need to complete and sign our work contract by clicking on the link below, and emailing that along with your verifying identification.

http://www.bstncoach.com/contract.doc

If you do not have a scanner, you can visit Fed Ex Office (formerly, Kinko’s) another company offering digital services. Ask for help if you are not familiar with digital scanning. You will only need to do this once to qualify for this position.

Once we have received your signed contract, your name and address will be added to our postal database within three days, and one of our managers will contact you.

Thank you again for your interest in our company

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Greeting again,

I have received the information you sent verifying your name and address. Please check below to confirm our record (or email us any corrections):

Full name: XXXXX
Address: XXXXX
City: XXXXXX
State: XXXXXX
Country: XXXXX
ZIP: XXXX
Phone Number: XXXXX
Email: XXXXX

Here are five very important items for you to consider:

1) Parcels you will receive are normally addressed directly to our customers, so the name(s) on the parcels will never include yours. The customer enters his or her personal billing information, and the shipping address belongs to the merchandise manager. This is convenient for us because it lets us know which package belongs to which customer. You will be always notified beforehand about upcoming packages and the names of the customers.

2) Besides parcels of merchandise, you will occasionally receive financial correspondence for our customers. You will need to collect all envelopes containing this information and report to the manager. All letters must be also be forwarded to the customers according to the instructions. Your manager will let you know when.

3) You will be required to check your email at least 6 times a day for notifications and urgent updates from me; are you able to do this? Delays can affect your manager’s assessment of your performance.

4) You or someone else must be at home during the delivery hours. It is critical to us that the delivery attempts are not missed. If you must leave the house during the day, then you will need to make sure that someone you trust will be at home to receive parcels.

5) You must always reply to email from your manager. Your manager must be certain that you receive all correspondence in time, and that you understand the instructions. Even if an email from the manager doesn't contain any questions, you will need to reply with “OK” for the manager to be certain that you are online.

In summary, if you understand and agree with these considerations, please let us know by email so we can begin to have packages sent to your address.

Thank you again.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello.

Thank you for your confirmation. Parcels will begin arrive at your home soon. You will receive 8 to 12 parcels per week during the four-week trial period. After that, we will send about 50 parcels per week to your address. You will be always notified by email about arriving parcels beforehand, so you will need to check your email at least six times a day, including your bulk/spam/junk folders because sometimes our emails get placed there by a computer’s security system.

We apologize if there is a delay with the arrival of the first parcels. Please understand that we have many people contracted in this position, and setting up first deliveries takes time. Please be patient.

Hello my name is Janet L Smith and I'm your personal manager in BostonCoach Inc.
Reply on all emails from me. I need to be sure that you receive everything in time and understand the tasks.
Even if the email doesn't contain any questions, please reply with "OKAY" to make sure you are online.

Soon I will let you know about first upcoming packages.
As soon as the new package arrives you have to send the report to me.
Please send separate report for each package. Report should contain the following details:

1. Contents of the package (Read the label outside of the package.
If there is no label outside of the box with the contents description
then left that field empty. It is not necessary to open and unpack
the products for these matters. I will let you know if i need you to open the box. )
2. Name on the package (Name of the customer the package was addressed to, should be on the label).
3. Service (UPS, Fedex, DHL, USPS, UPS-MI etc..).
4. Tracking number (every shipment has tracking number, very important).
5. Weight of the box (It must be written on a box, read the label. Otherwise tell me an
approximate weight or put the box on your bathroom scales.
I need it to calculate the shipping charges).

Here is an example how the report for a package can look like:

Package #1
Contains: Apple iPad 3G 64Gb
Under the name of: Jack Smith
Delivered by: Fedex
Sender: Amazon.com
Tracking number: 123456789001
Weight: 5 lbs

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Thank you.

Some Questions:

This scammer has all my personal info (Name, Address, Telephone #, email, among others) but what worries me the most is that he has a copy of my driver's license and my signature since i sign and email the contract.

1. What could he do with this information?
2. I’m at risk of identity theft or fraud?

Thank you very much for your help

In the US, credit card companies and banks will almost always require your social security number in order to open any kind of credit account. Prepaid cards are an exception, but of course the scammers would have to actually put up the money, which wouldn't make sense. So if you haven't given a SSN, your risk level is significantly reduced.

However, even if they can't open bank accounts in your name, scammers can still use your name in their scams. For that reason, I would contact your local PD and see if you can file a report.

You can also have a fraud alert placed on your credit file: http://www.equifax.com/answers/set-fraud-alerts/en_cp

Welcome to ScamWarners Chelsealauren70[b]Chelsealauren70. There isn't anything you can do to get your information back or to keep a scammer from using it to trick other people. You can make a report as Dotti recommended above.

The other thing you can do is help us expose scammers so other people can search and find if they are dealing with a scammer. I am sorry I don't have better news for you.

Bubbles, former Scamwarners moderator.

Rest in Peace 24 June 2015.

Victims :

Google your details periodically to make sure they are not being used . I would use yahoo , google and bing . If you find they are being used , you can work to take them down . This will work if your name is being used in certain circumstances such as on a web site . If the name is being used in an email scam , it will only show up if the scam gets posted to the one of the boards .
