Hi everybody, I was offered a job as front office assistant and now they're asking me to proceed with the payment for the accomodation rent.

below is the first email they sent me, I think it is a fake, don't you?

We trust that your knowledge, skills and experience will be among our most valuable assets.We want to use this medium to inform you that oral interviews could not take place due to limited time frame among other reasons. Selection process is strictly based on screened Resume/CV and response in our Interview Form with reference to work experience.

Should you accept this job offer, per company policy you will be eligible to receive the following beginning on your hire date.

Salary: Monthly net starting salary of £3,250.00GBP paid in biweekly installments by your choice of check or direct deposit.

It is definitely a scam.

There are several indicators, but the 4470 phone number makes it a certainty. These are not real UK phone numbers--they are redirect phone numbers that can be forwarded to phones almost anywhere in the world. They are used by scammers who are pretending to be in UK when they are not. Real UK businesses do not have 44-70 numbers.
