Similar story here. See emails below which shows the response from jobsinqatar.com. after we questioned their legitimacy. These guys are pure scammers and show their ignorance with their reply to our emails. Stay well away from them and if possible report them to appropriate authorities.

I am obviously keen to progress with any genuine opportunities in Qatar hence my initial response to positions you have advertised. However advice in the majority of online advertising companies categorically advises not to hand over any monies, as commissions are paid by the employer to recruiters on successfully placing of candidates.

Hi, unfortunately I found this thread too late. I wanted to post to help the warning. Currently using Pay Pal to try and get my money back. (Side note - don't think that if a site uses PayPal its legit!) This is going to be hard to prove. These guys are very clever in this scam and yes, as above, their personal replies indicate their intelligence (lack of).

The main warning I want to give is that they (jobsinqatar.org) are also the guys running dubaijobs.net. This is the secondary site that you pay them (jobsinqatar) to get 'access' to, which interestingly enough has their own payment requests when you apply for jobs.

Secondly, for me this wasn't a response to a random email in my inbox. Jobsinqatar came up as a top hit in google!

Interesting points to consider:

Emails that you receive concerning jobs you have applied for only contain the position that you entered into the field when applying. No further reference to the advertised job is contained in the email.
Your CV needs to be pasted in in txt format. What the..?
The site jobsinqatar.org states that you can go to jobs on that site and apply for them. However, there is no way of indicating that you have already registered and you are sent emails asking to submit the fee and register.
Emails are received that you have received requests from employers, however, outside of email correspondence, when you ‘log in’ there is no evidence to suggest that anyone has looked at your resume.
The one employer I had an interview request from was not in my field and the questions were vague management ones.
The account you can access after you register has none of your details at all – not even the CV you supposedly ‘submitted’ and was being ‘viewed’ by employers.
The secondary site you can access states that it is not affiliated with any other site.
When you apply for jobs on the secondary site, you also get asked to pay and register.
Why is ‘the largest online employment agency in Qatar’ based in Canada with people who can’t use English very well?

Can someone decipher this from their terms of service, in regards to the relationship between jobsinqatar.org and dubaijobs.net - the only place the second site is named in the entire site.
