Welcome to Scamwarners pialucido and I regret to tell you that this is a scam.

Firstly, as a non-EU citizen you cannot get a visa to come to the UK as an au-pair. The detail in the mail is also very badly written very much as we'd expect an African scammer to write it. The scammer wants to steal money from you and there is no job and he is located in Africa and knows very little about the UK.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it's better that you don't lose money to this thief as well.

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle

Adding to what Terrance has already said:

Email addresses ending with @lawyer.com are free email addresses offered by mail.com. Anyone can sign up for them. They are not connected to any legitimate lawyer's office. A real lawyer would NOT have an email address that ends in @lawyer.com.

There are also several major mistakes in the letter, in addition to the obvious African English, that would NOT be in a legitimate legal document. For example, the scammer has serious problems with his math. For example, the letter says that it is a family of 3, then lists 4 people!

Please do NOT point out the scammer's mistakes. We don't want him to learn from them.
