I received this e-mail today after sending a resume to a craigslist job post Sunday:
From: Jessica Hayes ([email protected])
Subject: Employment Details and 1st Assignment for ******

Dear ******,

Thanks for your quick response and impressive resume. Mediadriveresearch.com wants to take you on for the Administration / Data Entry job that you asked about. My name is Jessica Hayes, and I will be your associate manager. Please read the following info carefully so you can get started.

Follow the link below so that you can download your first project. This download consists of 3 PDFs.

http://www.mediadriveresearch.com/sheet1/assignment.zip

The links in these PDFs only work with Adobe Reader, so if you do not have Adobe Reader, you can go to Adobe.com and download the newest version of this free PDF reading software.

All the details are in the "QUICKSTART", so have a look there and feel free to give me a call at the number provided if you have any further questions.

Next, in the attachment called "Campaigns to Review" you will find 10 different campaigns, along with instructions on how to complete them.

This whole set takes roughly 1.5 hours to complete and pays $200.

Finally, there is an editable form called "Review Form". This is where you will fill out your reviews according to the instructions. This is also what you will need to turn in for payment. Once you have completed this first assignment, you may request more-as many as 3 at a time.

Work through these according to the instructions as quickly as possible so that you can get started with writing your reviews.

Submit all completed review forms as instructed in the “QUICKSTART” with your first and last name in the subject of the email.

Payment goes out on Fridays for all reviews that were turned in before the previous Friday. Payment is by Check, Bank Wire, or PayPal.

After you have completed this first assignment and turned in your reviews, you can request as many more as you like. We have some people that do 2 a day and make over $1000/week. Thanks, and I look forward to working with you!

I looked at the site and it seems suspiciously bare... No WOT data. 2 pages of vague Google results for the URL in quotes. Whois lookup points to Lucas Miller, a name that Googles well with "scam." I haven't bothered to check the .zip out yet. And the job description is too good to be true. I'm not communicating with them or touching any files, but I just don't have satisfactory evidence yet - is this a scam?

I have a love of terms and conditions and I enjoy reading them in detail, and any reputable company will go to some effort to have them set up by a trained lawyer with care and accuracy.

Even at a cursory glance of the ones on this website they don't stand up to scrutiny.

Names have been copied and pasted in the wrong place and other websites and companies are mentioned for no rhyme or reason.

Steer well clear.

Some big red flags. The domain was registered less than a week ago.
The address used on the domain registration is an RV park.

It is ALWAYS a scam
If the pet seller or shipper asks for money to be sent via Western Union, Money Gram, any brand of gift card. Walmart To Walmart , Zelle , PayPal friends and family option, or mentions Cameroon

linking-linkings.com (target of links in one of the PDFs) is also registered for only one year, to a hidden registrant. That is typical of scam sites.
