Welcome to Scamwarners traceyg.

This is a nasty vicious scam that these criminals try to involve innocent people in, and worse that it targets the young and those looking for honest work, who may be desperate for income.

The consequences aren't obvious but even in the UK where crime is often not punished severely the results can devastate your life, and that's no exaggeration.

From the website of Financial Fraud Action UK - the name under which the financial services industry co-ordinates its activity on fraud prevention

http://www.financialfraudaction.org.uk/consumer-about-ffa.asp

Ignorance is no excuse – allowing your bank account to be used for fraud can result in ten years in prison!

Even if a prison sentence is an unlikely outcome for most innocent victims, this will be an inevitable outcome

.... any money or ‘wages’ that you are given will be recovered by your bank because they are the proceeds of fraud. You will be the easiest link in the chain to track down and will be involved in any resulting police investigation. Your bank account will be closed down and details of the activity shared with other banks, making it hard for you to open up a bank account in the future.

It is quite likely that you'll have to repay any money you've transferred and your bank account will be closed with a report being made, making it virtually impossible to open an account elsewhere.

Without a bank account it'll be very difficult to get a regular job and discussing why you aren't able to get a bank account will exclude you from many. It'll also be difficult to receive government benefit payments. If you're a foreign student in the UK, being a favourite target of these scammers, you'll find it almost impossible to exist without a bank account.

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle
