I am a teacher and I would like to work in Saudi Arabia; I have applied for several jobs there. I have been warned about possible employment scams in other countries, so I have been looking up the IP addresses of the emails that I have received from there, and they all originate from 209.85.210.169. Different email addresses saying they are different schools and recruitment agencies are contacting me, but they all lead back to that IP address. Am I correct in assuming that this is a criminal sending me fake emails? How do I make sure I can get legitimate job offers?

I found this information on that IP address:

This ip is a known scamer on ebay - 2011-03-30
I have been receiving several nasty e-mails containing extreme profanity from this IP address. They person using this IP address has even sent these nasty e-mails to a professional business place of employment. Completely disrespectful and ignorant. No regard for people. This IP address should be blacklisted truly. - 2011-04-13
This ip has sent me an email wanting to offer me a modeling job in France for Coca Cola. Obviously this is a scam, and this website has just reinforced that....dont believe it if you get it. - 2011-06-17

That IP address belongs to google.
All it means is that those emails were sent through google's servers.

All emails coming from a gmail address will trace to google's servers, regardless of where the sender is located, so the IP has no significance--both scammers and legitimate people use gmail, and you will have to look at the actual offers to determine which are real and which are scams.
