Hello I would like some advice on a problem I have occurred. I was on a jobsite that was advertising a job as a assistant animal officer. I emailed my CV & cover letter to them and here was the reply I got:

Hi Kayleigh

Thank you very much for your enquiry regarding the Veterinary assistant and Animal Welfare opportunities available through the HCT training scheme.

Under the scheme we are currently recruiting for a number of entry level vacancies, with full training, a guaranteed job on completion, and an initial salary range between 20 and 28k per annum. We also provide applicants with the option of a first month's salary advance if required to help you back into work.

Induction training consists of around 20 hours flexible study, which is completed from home, at your own pace and convenience. Support is available from your allocated mentor, both during training and the initial few months of employment.

To register, you simply need to visit our site :

choose your career and click to register for the job scheme and training.

Employment on successful completion is guaranteed.

Kind regards

I went onto the website & they wanted a £95 registeration fee before any trainging has comenst plus the website has been build using a free website builder & also there is no contact details appart from an address. They also email me back strange times such as: 22.30PM, 6.30AM. which i find strange for a business to do.

If anyone could look at this website & provide me with any help as to if this is legit business or not or if it is a scam it would be a great help

Thanks

Easy decision - if it looks flakey, don't send money.

Looks flakey to me. I won't be sending them any of my money.

The business address is for Regus, a virtual office.

You can contact them and rent office use by the hour, if you want to pretend to have an office.

-A legitimate company gets its own domain.
-They wouldn't use a free email address (same as above)
-They claim to be accredited, but don't say by whom. Anyone legitimately accredited would list the agency and the accreditation.
-Even as a virtual office, the listed address is incomplete. A legitimate address would have a building and/or suite number.
-They claim to be a "recognized" learning provider, but they don't say by whom!
-They "guarantee" employment to anyone who signs up for the package (i.e. anyone who sends them money) without looking at whether they are qualified? Not likely. Even without experience, some people would not qualify for these positions, and how can they promise a job to someone who is not qualified?
-You become certified after only 16 hours of training? UK may have different rules, but it's highly unlikely they would allow 16 hours of training for positions that require a 2 year degree in US.
-In the US, the only types of positions that would require so little training would be kennel-type positions, in which case the training is typically performed on-the-job.

This looks like many diploma mills, where the "certificate" is only worth the cost of the paper it is printed on.
