The current scale of fraud and scams relating to recruiting 'money mules' by means of bogus job offers is operating on a monumental scale and certain members of this site, and other anti scam sites, can barely cope with the volume. The consequences of the scammers having increased success are not only horrific to the individuals involved, but also to the West's financial institutions.
I have been justifiably critical of banks, but also employment sites should not be excluded from criticism as they are encouraging job seekers to post CV's with them which they then allow anyone to access for payment of a fee, which I believe is something scammers are taking advantage of. There are simple things these sites could do to protect their clients but their interest is in earning income from those wanting access to jobseekers personal information.
Frankly I don't believe that posting a CV with an employment site has any value to anyone but the employment site and scammers.
I came across this suggestion on the internet which sounds like a good idea and at least allows a job seeker some knowledge over who is accessing their information.

It's something I may do myself just to see exactly who it is that is using jobseekers personal information. By using different profiles for different employment sites will enable me to see the quality of client being given access to my information.
