Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

Okay To Start this off I would like to say the only information that I have received from the person I believe to be trying to scam myself and some friends of mine is as follows

The person in Question is named Jon Thieme

First off is that this specific scam is a online Xbox (Clan) meaning that ten of us play as a team to get the company he is C.E.O of known to the world, that company is Lethal Force Gaming.
He has offered us an opportunity to join a clan with him in it and as we play in his clan that he would find a sponsor for us and that the ten of us that are in the clan would receive a total of 5000 dollars a month for an extended period of time to be determined within the next 6-8 months but for sure that amount of time.
The only things that we need to do is the following

* give him our email/ and or our mailing address so that he can send us a contract to sign before taxes need to be filed.
* Be online everyday and follow the orders that he gives us that come down directly from his lawyer/ sponsor, Lawyers name is Lysander Woods from Atlanta Georgia, Website is http://www. atlbankruptcy .com and phone number is (678) 380-5773
* The way that we would be paid would be from a pre-paid visa card that he would buy and load the 5,000 dollars a month on to for each of the ten of us.
* we would also have the choice of having taxes withheld or if we choose to to file taxes on the money at the end of the year but we would not receive a check stub to state what we had made or the amount of taxes being withheld.

Next I should probably let you know that the ten of us basically all live in different states so none of us are in the same state as he is so none of us would have the correct amount of state income tax taken out we range in states from Utah to Washington to Hawaii.

If any of you could help me out in any way I would greatly appreciate it thank you and god bless.

Welcome to Scamwarners CodyAdam15.

Be very cautious as I don't like the sound of it at all. The initial proposition sounds like a 'bait and trap' situation, as you'e being offered a fantastic proposition for doing very little, so you can be certain that you aren't being given the whole story.

Is the '15' in your nick your age ? I only ask because that will make a difference to the contracts you can enter in to, and any lawyer should be aware of this and make sure they're dealing with people who can legally enter in to contracts. There's not much point in getting you to sign a contract if it's legally unenforceable.

Whether the lawyer mentioned is involved at all is impossible to know but hooking you up with a bankruptcy lawyer sounds very unusual. A bankruptcy lawyer deals with bankruptcy and I presume you aren't wanting to declare yourself bankrupt ? You make the point yourself that the other people involved are in different states and a bankruptcy lawyer who defines himself the geographic areas in which he operates, which is not unusual in the USA due to variations in different state laws, may not be able to deal with people out of state.

Offering to pay people by pre-paid visa cards is a peculiarity of 419 scammers who have a particular fascination with them. What they don't realise is that you have to apply for a Visa card and similar rules apply to it as to an ordinary Visa card, so as regards a means of paying you, it's ridiculously complex and, if you're under age you won't get one.

Nothing about it sounds right, but I can't tell you what these people are up to unless I can see the contract they're wanting you to sign.

If I had to take a punt on what they're up to I'd guess that it might turn out to be an attempt to find another means to recruit money launderers, but that's just a guess.

First of all you cannot be sure that the people contacting you have anything to do with any company or group named 'Lethal Force Gaming' or Lysander Woods and atlbankruptcy.com.

I have checked, and the age of majority in Georgia is 18, so I have to wonder at the competence of anyone claiming to be a CEO or anyone using the services of an attorney who doesn't check the age of someone to whom they offer a contract. It would be ridiculous and damaging to offer contracts to minors. though I would still not recommend a minor sign one. Plain common sense would make it the first thing to resolve when dealing with online gamers.

There is a facebook page, but again I cannot confirm whether or not it has any connection with the people who have contacted you, though they appear to claim to have the same connections.

https://www.facebook.com/Lethal.Force.Gaming

They don't claim to be a corporate body, making the suggestion that they have a CEO fanciful.

5 thousand dollars a month times 10 employees is 50,000 dollars a month! That means that the sponsors would be paying over half a million dollars if it lasted a year.

That is an absolutely ridiculous amount of money, and not at all consistent with any of the information out there on real sponsors. Some quick research shows that legitimate sponshorships typically include points and gaming products, and maybe a small amount of other merchandise and money--but it is nowhere near what you are quoting.

Thank you guys, the ten of us that are in this clan range in age from 19-28, but the thing that bugs me about the people in question they avoid any question that anyone asks that could show some real proof that they are legitimate, I have searched and searched to see if I can find anything about the Lethal Force Gaming but all I have found is a board that is under management on excoboard.com other than that there is the facebook page as TerranceBoyce mentioned but other than that I can find nothing, thank you again and soon I should hopefully be able to send a copy of the contract that he is sending out.

Basically you are being asked to promote something that has no obvious income potential, and then you're told to

Be online everyday and follow the orders that he gives us that come down directly from his lawyer/ sponsor

Be very cautious about signing any contract, especially one alleged to be coming from a bankruptcy lawyer. I would expect that there'll be some more specific duties to perform, and if there aren't, don't sign anything with vague terms requiring you to follow orders.

It's pretty obvious that you've only been told the jam part of this deal, and offering to pay people by means of pre-paid Visa cards is just silly.
