We have added a fraud warning to our website (www.norfolkadvantage.co.uk), have alerted Google and have reported the matter to the police. We would appreciate any advice as to what else we can do to disrupt/stop this fraud. Thank you.

Apparently PAKNIC (PRIVATE) LIMITED is a Domain Registrar in Pakistan with offices at Lahore and in the USA.
The sponsoring registrar number (R1605-LROR) is interesting. It leads to effective-capitaltrading.org which would be safe to assume is another fakie?
by vonpaso xlura Fri Aug 30, 2013 2:43 am
The site may be at Serverpronto/Colopronto today, then as soon as we report it, it jumps to Carat Networks, then we report it to Carat and it jumps to Nobistech. Bizcn (the other registrar of these sites) and Paknic don't seem to care, and the nameservers are run by the scammers themselves.

I suggest you find someone who speaks Urdu and call Paknic on the phone. Norfolk, you may not see it when you look at this one site that happens to have your name on it, but this is one tiny part of a vast criminal enterprise that has been running since 2009 and has been perfecting the art of making impossible-to-kill fake sites. I have 39 reports since May 2012, and that's when the first report was last modified, not when I first reported it, and that's not the number of sites, since some reports are of two or three sites with similar names. HannahsDad has a lot more than I do and could probably give you a list of every current Bimbom-Bump site registered with Paknic with a single grep command.

If you call the hoster, find out where the hidden site is. Every one of these sites is mirroring the hidden site. A bit over a month ago, some of our reports got passed to whoever was hosting the hidden site, and all these sites went down at once. We don't know where it was then, or where it is now. All we know is that there is one.

To be blunt, this is a global problem involving an international criminal organisation, and governments need to be persuaded to take action against those who deal with these criminals. The criminals are targeting innocent victims and doing it by impersonating unrelated businesses and in doing so, they are harming everyone. Such behaviour only has a criminal purpose and it damages the businesses they impersonate. The harm they have done to UK businesses involved in selling agricultural and construction machinery is incalculable, as they're a particular favourite.

Governments need to be be a little more active in dealing with these crimes as these people currently have a free run with their activities and, as valuable the work done on forums like this is, it shouldn't be left to us to act as the world's police.

If you are a member of any business group it would be useful to raise the issue with them to press for governments to take action.

Norwich landline phone numbers begin 01603.

A real company will have an office and a phone landline that will include the geographic code for the area where it claims to be located.

It's a quick and easy way to uncover these scam sites.

The scam sites are trying to hide this by showing their phone numbers in black on a dark blue background. Real companies don't try to hide and obscure their phone contact numbers.

020 8133 1327 isn't a geographic landline number.

If the number's a dud, so's the website.
