I almost fell victim to what I thought was a legitimate Administrative Assistant position in Ocean City, NJ, on Indeed.com! Here is the actual job post, which has since mysteriously disappeared from Indeed.com:

We are a small and fast growing company seeking a polished and professional person to fill our Administrative Office Assistant position. This role will be divided between project management support and administrative duties. This position calls for someone with a can do attitude that is reliable, highly organized, a self starter, and works well independently.

Responsibilities will include project management support (data entry, correspondence with trades, maintaining sub contractor files, etc), general office duties including fielding phone calls, filing, scanning documents, bank runs, ordering and stocking office supplies, some travel arrangements, and errands as needed.

Requirements:
-Proficient in Excel
-Proficient in QuickBooks

I responded to the post and received the following email from email address [email protected] the very next day:

Of course, I'm now suspicious, but I decided to to message this person "Stephanie Cannon" to see what would happen. Here is the conversation that took place between "Ms. Cannon" and myself:

Me:? Waiting....1:36 PM
stephaniedesk:? What is your full name,sex and where are you located ?1:36 PM
Me:? Are you a real person?1:36 PM

(At this point, she signs off and never returns.)

Me:? Stephanie, I apologize for any misunderstanding, I am not used to being interviewed for jobs this way. I would like to chat with you about this job opportunity if possible, please get back to me, thanks!1:51 PM

I do further research: Fullgen Technology does not have a branch in Ocean City, NJ! Here is the website: http://www.fullgen.com/

Thanks for your posting Musicheals71 I was sent the exact same messages in the same order and it seems like they did a copy in paste. Being as though this job was in ocean city I thought that this would be an excellent job. I'm glad I was smart enough to search and come across this post. Thanks a lot!!! Fullgen technologies is a true scam beware!!!
