Some time ago i got surprising mail from [email protected] with soft offer (tradekey). The prices was good. I had a buyer for goods that Ineh have so i thought to do it. But there goes the steps, in one of the points was:

4. Upon Seller receipt of sign contract from the buyer, within 48hours buyer legalize
the sign contract via Energy Ministry, Russian Federation.

When i asked about it i'v got answer:
"Clause #4 of procedure: Accordance to Article 102 of the charter of United Nation in Geneva Convention 5, October,1961, which Russian Federation are part of, and it shall be come legally binding between Government and the recipients and signatory of the contract. It is the buyers jurisdiction to pay the fee for legalization of contract and other related foreign document. This is how it work, as soon as contract is signed by both buyer and seller, Seller legal department will submit the signed contract to Energy Ministry will issue an invoice to seller and copy to buyer as soon as buyer make the payment the contract will be endorsement/ legalization by Ministry the contract will be sent to seller"

When i asked how much that it cost, i'v got:
"Legalization fee is(one hundred thousand and ninety-eight U.S. dollars)"

What do you think about that?

I didnt find anything about this company. PLS Help

inehoilandgas.ru was registered for only one year. That's typical of scam sites.

I'm not sure if the language is Belarusan or Ukrainian, but it's not Russian. Also "????" doesn't match "Ineh".

Could you post emails from the site, with full headers? That will help kill it.

It's undoubtedly a scam and it sounds very much like the West African style, and there are some who work in Eastern Europe.

The United Nations doesn't deal with trade treaties which are dealt with by the WTO and, if you look up article 102, that deals with treaties between governments not trade treaties with companies. You don't tell a lie like that by accident and they are relying on you not checking up on them, and that you'll be impressed with their knowledge. Once you discover that they've gone to the trouble of making up a lie like that, then you should walk away, as that won't be the last lie they tell you.

it sounds very much like the West African style

"Boris Anatoly" is the sort of name a West African unfamiliar with Russian (or any other European) naming practices would come up with.
