Legitimate freight forwarders have you working at the company office. If they have you working at home, they're a scam. They're looking for people to reship merchandise bought with stolen credit cards to Russia. The other message has Finnish in it; Finland is next to Russia.

I have had a look at the website :-

Image

It seems the website was registered in Oct 2013, yet on their website they claim to be around since 2009, I would have thought that they would have had a website for longer.

On that basis I would say forget about this job, you could end up regretting it.

Thank you guys for the information. I received an offer and applied a few days ago. I was not sure and still applied. Let's see if they respond. Maybe they are trying to get personal information about you and your references after you apply. I guess I'll find out the hard way.
by Dotti Wed Dec 11, 2013 7:06 pm
Maybe they are trying to get personal information about you and your references after you apply.

Their primary goal is to use you as a mule to forward items purchased with stolen credit cards. They don't really care about you or your references.

With that said, if you gave them sensitive information, they still might try to make use of it, so you should still consider identity theft a possibility. If you just gave name/address/phone and other public information, no need to worry.

They are a complete scum scam fraud company they will not pay you !!! and they are using stolen credit cards !!!!!!!! Everything has been stolen
by Dotti Sun Jan 05, 2014 12:24 pm
they will not pay you

Which might be a good thing. Receiving and forwarding stolen goods is a crime, but if you have not received any money (or kept any of the stolen goods) you will generally have a pretty strong case that you were a victim, not an accomplice, assuming you don't have a history of similar activities in the past. In most countries, authorities will not prosecute mules who were clearly victims.

If the scammers did pay you, it would be with more stolen money. Accepting that money means that you are guilty of receiving stolen money as well as stolen property--and the fact that you took payment for helping them to commit a crime will make you look more like an accomplice than a victim. And if the authorities think that you were an accomplice, even if you started out as a victim, you are fair game for prosecution like the woman mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=2&p=186244

I forwarded freight for 29 days for this so called company and then was locked out of their staff web site. This company is a scam they will not pay you. I reported them to IC3 of the FBI for internet fraud. Do not waste your time with these people they are not a legitimate company.

stumpjumper515 wrote:This company is a scam they will not pay you.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but the above could be the least of your problems.

The freight you have been forwarding will probably have been bought with stolen credit cards. When the cardholders realise and reverse the transactions, the merchants will contact the authorities to start an investigation, which will lead them to you.

It would probably be a good idea for you to print off all the evidence you have that you have been a victim of a scam and take it to your local police - before they come looking for you.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Meridian man falls prey to Russian 'forwarding scam'

Eventually, the man's home was raided by the FBI, U.S. Postal Inspectors, and countless other law enforcement officials who wanted to charge him with conspiracy, possession of stolen property, and assorted other minor charges.
"They said I was working for the 'Russian Mafia,'" the man said. "I was scared to death."

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle
by stumpjumper515 Sat Feb 15, 2014 8:30 am
This is without a doubt a scam. You will not get paid. I unfortunately did this job for a month and then they cut out all communication when it was time to get paid, which is a good thing so as not to be charged as a partner in this illegal activity. This is a company that uses stolen credit card information to purchase items and your address to ship the items to, and then they send you an address overseas, Poland, Russia etc., to forward the package to.
