What use is your ID when he can't see YOU?

He appears to have offered you a job without meeting you - he obviously doesn't care who you are.

The next stage will be to ask for money for your CRB check and possibly reference checks.

He asked me money for relocation package (flight and 3 month accommodation) but I refused saying I already booked a flight and found a place to stay. Later he said he urgently needs my ID and still insists on that. I'm afraid I might get promoted from assistant director to a director and then take financial blame for this company?

So now we know. This is a simple Advance Fee Fraud.

You make payments in advance of getting your job. Recruitment in the UK does not work like that.

THERE IS NO JOB - JUST A FRAUDSTER WANTING YOUR MONEY.

I just remembered he asked 100 pounds for CRB

Hi All,
I have been contacted by Cape Homecare that they seen my profile on Totaljobs.co.uk and they would have job offer for me. As PA for high profile family, stupidly i have send them money for CRB check after the interview and ever since than I havent been able to get in touch with them its nearly month since I have been to the interview, I have been calling them for past 2 weeks several times a day and either nobody is in the office or they are out on meeting, left many messages for Colleen and Yousuf to call me back and off course they havent return my calls. They website is under the reconstruction http://www.capehomecare.me.uk on internet I have found Cape Homecare company for elderly people which I believe is entirely different company the link for their website is http://cape-homecare.co.uk/ I have also contacted them by email to inform them about my dealings with the other branch lol.
If any of you have lost any money please do contact me on my email <remove MW> and I believe we should reported to police as its fraudelent activity
If any of you have any more info please contact me
MOD edit Please use the Private Messaging system to contact pavla. Mike Wilson

Welcome to Scamwarners pavla.

I regret to say that UK employment sites are full of scammers making fraudulent employment offers and, even though I'm retired, I have a CV on one, just so that I can see some of the scams being offered to people.

I will ask the forum moderators to remove your email address as scammers can see your posts and it is likely that you'll be contacted by more scammers. It's better for forum members to contact each other using the forum's own 'private message' system.

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle

Hi
I responded to advert on total jobs for a nanny position with this fraud company. I researched and found that cape healthcare is dissolved .. Cape homecare Ltd has director - a <removed> MW - check companiesintheuk website for address. We should write to the director for our money back. The person who advertises on total jobs is Colleen Steer and names from my emails are David Hariss , Christine Richerson . When I called so many times they do not answer. The address they give in harrow is fake, and these names must be fake too. if they are asking for ID, they want to open another scam company!!. Name and shame these people! they should not be allowed to steal money from people who are trying to make a living!

As stated in the following post, the company list in the companies house listing is not part of the scam. The scammers just stole their identity to add credibility to the scam. MW

The director (and the disolved company) has nothing to do with this scam - you have been dealing with scammers who re just using a company name that they found on the Internet.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Hi Alan,

thanks but extensive research has led me to believe otherwise.. same director's name of Cape Healthcare , is scamming at Cape Homecare.. coincidence?

This most likely a family scamming business.

It would appear that your research is rather flawed and you risk making yourself look rather stupid and possibly libeling people.

1. Cape Healthcare Ltd and Cape Homecare Ltd do not share a common director.
2. Just because someone wrote to you claiming to be a director of Company X does not mean that they actually are - if I wrote to you from the domain lloydsbnkltd.com and told you I was the managing director of Lloyds Bank would you just believe me?

If you read the 1st post in this thread and the one from pavla carefully, you will see that the domains used to send the email and for the website are different - a common scammer tactic. Additionally, neither of the addresses used to register them match the address of the real Cape Homecare Ltd.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Hi Alan

Well, I guess you are the "expert".

I actually made a visit to the address, and spoke to management team there. They confirmed it is indeed the same people.. not sure what authorities can do in these cases but lets hope this forum is a deterrent.

Welcome to Scamwarners dalfosss,

Scammers often will send out email on behalf of President Obama and Michelle. They will have a fake White House domain and email address. However, these emails are not from the President and First Lady.

Yet, I could visit the White House and inquire. I will be told yes there is a President Obama and Michelle residing in the White House and they are the President and First Lady.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.
