I too have received a message from Megan Richardson. I will just copy it and paste it here after removing my name because I really don't know what else to do: :?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Home based job is the new direction the world is heading. Before I get into too deep, I wanted to clarify one thing. I am sure you will agree with me, how good a train will run will depend on the engine. And in the home based job, the one man band, the engine is you.

We have received your resume from jobsite.co.uk.

You must know your dreams, your goals and visions and configure your natural strength. With a job post we offer you not only getting fixed salary 1500.00 GBP per month, you also get benefits and Internet support. With committing only 3-4 hours (from 9 am – 12 pm), you could do the work, still be at home, drop your kids to school and bring them back, take a timely break to help them with their homework and in five minutes come back to work again!

No other job guarantees you with this flexibility! Besides, the fuel prices are going up and up and up everyday. Car maintenance and the other nightmare of car parking!

Home based job can give you the freedom from these fuel costs and parking hassles.

If I sparked your interest please apply by contacting us at [email protected].

Respectfully,
Megan Richardson

I've just received these emails too. Is there anything I can do to prevent Identity theft? This is a very cruel scam, preying on those desperately trying to find work
by AlanJones Tue Apr 29, 2014 5:00 am
Have you provided them with any personal information? If so, what?

The main thing you have to worry abut is the security of your bank account - so if you provided them with your bank details then speak to your bank urgently to make them aware that you have provided the details to scammers and there is a risk that fraudulent transfers could be made to your account.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
by vonpaso xlura Tue Apr 29, 2014 6:08 am
They aren't trying to commit identity theft, but they do ask for the password to a mule's online bank account. If you've signed up, even if you didn't give the password, tell your bank's abuse department, as you're likely to receive a fraudulent transfer or be mailed a fake check. If you haven't signed up, don't worry.

Please post the emails you got so that we can include them as evidence in reports of the fake site.

I only sent a copy of my utility bill and I got this reply.
7th email:
Hello,

I have assigned you a supervisor and she has sent you a few messages inside your Task Manager account.

Please log in to your Task manager on our website (http://www.interprofinance.com) and reply to your supervisor.

If you have forgotten your log in credentials, you may request them on our website.

Sincerely

I must admit I received a couple of messages from the supervisor I was assigned and my first task. I know I shouldn't have but I gave my bank details (firstly moved all funds from that account to another account so it showed zero) and within 2 days received funds directly into my account. My first task was to transfer that to someone else but deduct 8% commission first. It all seemed so real and easy. I have been monitoring my account every day to see if any fraud has been carried out but so far so good. Funny enough the commisson I earned is still sat in my account and I also received a £50 bonus on top of that for transferring the funds within the time limit.
I am still trying to figure out this company, they do sound like a scammer but I received real money into my account (no cheques) and the commission I made is still in my account. My account with them (not bank account) shows it is still active. Mind you, I have stopped receiving tasks, after asking them too many questions and then I found this website/forum where there were others who were also being contacted by Inter Pro.
Try ringing the numbers in the emails, no one answers them.

^^^ I'm afraid that you are likely to be in for a big shock in the future when the payment that was made to your account is reversed as fraudulent and your bank possibly close your account and put a fraud marker on your credit file.

You have unwillingly involved yourself in money laundering and the money you have received will have probably come from a phished bank account or the proceeds of a crime such as drug dealing or worse.

When the fraudulent transaction is identified the only name that the authorities will have to investigate will be yours - the scammers are safely overseas using fake names. So, it would be in your interest to alert you bank to what has happend and also speak to the police before they come looking for you.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
by TerranceBoyce Tue May 13, 2014 7:42 am
Most 'money mules' (that's what you are) jaycee386 don't normally get beyond their first transaction before the bank and authorities shut them down, so your handlers probably won't risk using you again because they know it's almost inevitable that any future payment won't go through.

I've today reported a news story in another forum about a 'money mule' recruiter being jailed in the UK.

http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Fraud-gang-member-jailed/story-21087925-detail/story.html?

He also pleaded guilty to his involvement in a separate money laundering scam where he was given a fee to get people to use their bank accounts to handle money taken from victims.

Normally you only risk prison if you are knowingly transferring stolen money and one factor taken in to account will be how many payments you have handled. The recruiters normally go to great lengths to make sure that they cannot be traced, and leave the 'money mule' to face the consequences.

As AJ says the most likely consequence is that you'll have to repay all the funds you have received and have your bank account closed. If your account is blacklisted then you have major problems, as receiving benefits, salary or even operating a mobile phone contract becomes a problem.

Most employment sites want your CV simply because they can sell those details, at minimal cost, to anyone who has a use for them, and that includes criminals wanting to use them for 'sucker lists'. The idea that any employer sorts through online CV's for employees is preposterous. Most government agencies will press you to post online CV's, but government employment websites are also known to advertise jobs that are scams.
