Hi! I'm a youngin' looking for a summer job and was using Snagajob.com. I got this email right away:

Stable company has a position for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk.
Looking for someone from the business side of shipping and receiving, will be doing import and export with delivery schedule. Seeking someone
detail oriented and organized with good skills.
The company is looking for someone with experience using FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.

Results to be achieved:
1. Accurate receiving of all inbound freight
2. Ship selected items
3. Understanding of all warehouse processes
4. Other assigned tasks

Process:

1. Accurate receiving of all inbound freight
A. Review and verify items against purchase orders or return documents.
B. Properly SKU all incoming items in accordance with procedures.
C. Physically and systematically stow and re-warehouse received product as needed.
D. Notify Customer Service, Inventory Control and/or Purchasing of all discrepancies.

2. Ship selected items
A. Pull selected items/quantities in accordance RTV tickets, pick lists or as directed
B. Verify pulled items against RTV ticket, pick lists or as directed
C. Properly mark and package items per S0P prior to shipment
D. Ship items using DHL, UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers or as directed
E. Notify originator of oddities via email

3. Understanding of all warehouse processes.
A. Assist in the daily processes on all inbound freight
B. Identify questionable/problem to Inventory Control, Customer Service and/or Purchasing
C. Complete log entries for all problem items
D. Inform Inventory Control, Customer Service, Purchasing and the management staff of all discrepancies

4. Other assigned tasks
A. Assist other to meet deadlines
B. Able to manage 2 or more tasks with no degradation

Oh crap... I never gave him my information, he got it from Snagajob! At this point I was a little nervous and called up my mother. She told me right away it was a scam. I tried my hardest to contact Snagajob to get the job listed off of their website, and I told "Darrell" to not contact me again and if he sends me anything I will not accept it, or take it to the police.

So, i wanted to let people know in case they are as naive as i was. I'm lucky i had a bad feeling about it. if anyone has tips for me on what I should do now, it is appreciated.

Definitely looks fake . Claimed business address appears to be an Auto Body Repair Shop . No registration with the New York Secretary of State . No Yellow Pages or White Pages listing for this company . Website registrant is listed as living in New Orleans LA for a business in Jamaica NY . Shippserv.com is an email forwarding domain .

I'm glad you had enough awareness to be suspicious--unfortunately, many people do not become suspicious until after they are much further in.

As to what to do now--there's not too much to worry about. If all they have is the information on your resume, there should be no risk of identity theft. They will just move on to the next potential victim.

If, for any reason, you do receive a package (not often, but on occasion it happens--they send a package anyway and try to harass or threaten the victim into forwarding it) then simply refuse it, or demand it be returned to the sender. If you are unable to do that (e.g., it is delivered when you are gone and you can't return it) call the retailer listed on the packing slip, explain in general terms what has happened and that you did not consent to receive this package, and ask them to arrange to take it back. You can also file a report for mail fraud if you receive something.
Otherwise, if they do contact you, just ignore and delete, and be aware they might try to target you with another scam.

Thanks for the headers! Those headers are not what we need to kill it, but using the info in the headers, I was able to elicit more headers. The domain is in the process of being reported for fraud.
