Hello elgafoso, and welcome to ScamWarners.

Thank you for posting the above scam mail, which will help to warn other people who receive an email like this.

You will notice that the scammer says that an advance payment will be sent, and also that you will be involved in hiring a service car. It is most likely that the scammer intends to send a fake or stolen check, and will then request that a payment is made, probably through Western Union or MoneyGram.

If somebody does this, when their bank discovers that the check is fraudulent, the money it represents will be subtracted from that person's bank account. Therefore, the payment that was made will no longer be covered by that check, and that person will discover that they have sent the scammer their own money! And they will never get it refunded.

Thank you also for posting the header for this email.

This shows that the email was actually sent from Nigeria.

Thank you very much, Chris.

My main concern was to make this message searchable in Google (that's how I ended up in your site).
Your explanation was most enlightening.

Keep up the great work.

All the best,
E.

I sent them an email:

Dear Nigerian Scammers,

Please stop trying to steal money from honest unemployed people.

I posted your bogus email on line and notified the authorities.

Sincerely,
E.

Unfortunately, an email such as the one you sent could only serve to help them.

The scammers know as well as we do that the authorities will not do anything to them and telling them that their details are posted on line is likely to make them use a different fake name, if they use a new fake name, any report we have on them will be of no use to anybody.

The best thing to do is to ignore any emails, as frustrating as that may seem.

These folks never give up and try to intimidate job seekers who are already feeling bad having to look for work in a recession by trying to pour salt on their wounds. Can't the police arrest them on Harassement at least?... I believe these folks are also the one behind the Quest University BC Scam.

Welcome to Scamwarners Vicky (Can we call you that? :) )
Some scammers do try frightening victims who have realised it's a scam. There's no point in reporting it to the police as they can't take any action against anonymous foreign scammers.
