Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

Hello there.

I would like to warn people out there that http://www.ukdataentry.biz is a scam site. Jobs are advertised all over the web, gumtree, facebook marketplace etc. They make out as though it is a data entry job working from home. You are asked to pay £10 for training materials, but when you receive the materials they are simply instructions on how to scam others by posting these false jobs.

I first stumbled across scamwarners when I typed in the PO BOX number of the guy who had registered the ukdataentry.biz domain and found that the same company had been mentioned before in a different scam (http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2055&start=30)

Anyway, here are all the details I have on the person/people behind it:

Contact name (which I believe to be false): Danielle Tyler
Domain owners's name: Peter Smillie
Other name linked to domain: Stuart Spice

To add to this topic as it is related... I'm in IT, working for a web company in Australia. Yesterday I met with a guy who wants my company to build him a website... so I take his brief in order to write him up a quote. The guy comes across as pretty web illiterate when it comes to what he wants, and that budget does not seem to be a major concern. So, I listen to what he wants, throw in some ideas of my own, and I'm now left to write a proposal for the project.

So, I run a quick check on the domain he registered. this is what I found doing a WHOIS which starts ringing a few alarm bells:
* The guy has a Hotmail address (not bonafide business... okay, not a major concern)
* the domain is registered under 'his' name (although I can't verify he is who he says he is)
* the same guy has registered another 67 domains in last 3 years (Hmmm)
* the Tech contact is Stuart Spice (Google it and you'll see plenty to read about, none of it pretty)
* the PO Box for both registrant and tech contact is in the UK at the PO Box address 19184 (again, I Google it and I hear more alarm bells ringing)

Now, I'm going to approach my client about these details, but BEFORE I DO, I suspect it might be worth following this up with a local authority first. I welcome the community's views on this. (asap if you wouldn't mind)

[edit] note, I've left off specific information, until I can be more certain about my next steps. last thing I want to do is upset a legit client! [edit]

Hi Rural Aussie

Welcome to Scamwarners.

Without seeing all of the information and with Fake sites not being my specialty I may not be much help to you myself, certainly not as much help as others may be.

I was considering possible angles for this and one thing struck me as a possibility, has this person mentioned how he intends on paying you for your services, I am wondering if it is some kind of overpayment scam where you will be asked to send money to "another person" from a cheque or bank deposit payment.

Hi Ralph - Thanks. We've not actually agreed to a price or discussed payment terms, because I haven't arrived at a quote. You'll forgive me for not putting the client's details out there at this point in time, at least for the time being. We have a strict policy of not commencing with work until the money hits the bank.

There is no problem in keeping the details private until there is confirmation, I wouldn't expect anything else.

Our members who have more experience in fake sites than I do should be able to give you better information than I can, just be careful though, there have been a few scams about that actually have money deposited into your account, as mentioned earlier, it will be more than the yamount of money they owe you and they will ask you to send money (usually by Western Union) to another person.

I cant say for suere that is the case here but it is certainly something to be careful of.

If you would like to give me some details in a private message I can ask somebody with more experience to check it out without making the details public.

thanks Ralph, I'll do just that and send the WHOIS record to your PM.

Thank you

It has been passed on, somebody will post here in the not too distant future, some of our more experienced people in this field are from the US so please be patient while they sleep

It seems that Stuart Spice is very busy.
I bought the MR.SITE web design and it does not do as it is supposed to. I have just started up a new business and wanted a web page to design myself. Emails could not be retrieved People could not contact me, basically the whole thing was an unprofessional fiasco.

I phoned the customer info which is dead. There are a lot of complaints on the Amzon reviews and one poor chap has paid the £15.00 to release his domain and still has not got it back.

Mr. Site is advertised on Facebook.. India... there is a uk url and when you click it your page advertised(above) comes up with Indian dating and sex links. this has just appeared.

I am devastated as I have spent money on cards brochures etc. with the domain name.
I only discovered this page by typing in the po box number 19184
This horrible creature needs stopping.
