I thought it was pretty suspicious how they seemed to want to hire me without an interview and how the title at the top did not match the email they wanted me to send my contact info to. However, since I had already sent my resume to this email and all of my contact info was already on that, I figured there was no harm in testing the waters despite my suspicions and filled out the "form" to the specified email address.
I also wanted to ask a few questions and have a conversation with this person, so I registered a new Yahoo account and downloaded the Messenger to speak with her. We exchanged a few messages through Messenger, but I never got a real-time conversation with this person and all her messages were still really vague and did not present any new information, so I decided to search for some similar scams and found some on this forum. Some phrasing in this email was very similar to some of the scams I found on this forum, so I am now sure that this is a scam.
Of course, I have no intention to maintain further communication with this Michelle McLean. My only concern is that since I have gone pretty far with this scammer, they might continue to email me, and I'm not quite sure how to deal with that. Also, can they do anything with my contact information, such as identity theft? Thank you very much for your help. I will definitely be more careful with sending out my resume from now on and now that I know about this forum, will definitely post here and ask for help instead of testing the waters myself.
I also recently received this email from them, which pretty much confirms that they are a scam. I am posting it here in case it helps anyone else out.
