Marvin Concepts on Clearfit Scam

I applied for a job on clearfit for the position of Administrative assistant for a company supposedly called Marvin Concepts.

I received a reply from [email protected] asking for my resume and after that I received an e-mail saying she wanted to schedule an interview with me through Yahoo Im. During the so called interview I barely got asked any questions, they asked for a valid ID to "confirm my identification" and after some conversation got offered a the position for 15/hour. She asked for my bank information and I dodged by saying I would provide her with that info once I signed the contract. She sent me a freelancer contract that was provided for free on the internet and had this address as the company's: Stadium Plaza Branch, 321 Route 440, Jersey City

When she asked for my social security to run a background check, I asked for a valid ID to prove she was who she said she was before I gave out my information and she sent me a photoshopped sample member id from google image search, I found it by simply typing member ID card. When I confronted her she said I'm an employee and that I was insulting her. I apologized and asked for a valid ID again and she said goodbye. So I'm reporting this here... It sounded sketchy from the start but I wanted to make sure. She/he was going by the name of Debra Hills and provided me with this phone number 2819405405.

I did not give her/him/them my bank information or ssn and notified my bank just in case, but I hope this can help someone else not get scammed by these people.

Textbook mule recruiting. Could be reshipping (receiving and forwarding stolen merchandise) but based on the specific lines below, it's probably money mule, i.e., receiving and forwarding stolen money. In either case, these "jobs" basically put you in the middle of criminal activity and have the potential to cost you a lot more than just money.
