EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We have in file, your Resume, Job Application and other important data. After the evaluation
of these documents, we found you qualified to work with our Team Hence, Higgins
Construction Company seek to employ your services for the provision of expatriate
services as stipulated in the following acts in this document. This document embodies the
approved Terms for the purpose of this contract.
JOB TITLE/UNIT
LOGISTICS & PROPERTY MANAGER
PROBATION
The employee is appointed on a probationary basis for a period of Three (3) months.
During the first four weeks of employment, notice of termination shall be 24 hours
either way, and thereafter notice shall be one calendar month. Upon the successful
completion of the probationary period, the employee will become a permanent
employee. During the probation period, the employee will be assessed as to their
ability to perform the job requirements.
The employee will also be assessed as to their ability to work in harmony with fellow
employees, to get on with clients, students etc, apply themselves diligently to their
duties without any supervision and to generally fit into the Higgins Construction
Company’s work practices and culture.
In the event of the employee not performing to the required standard, this will be
brought to the attention of the employee and where appropriate assistance and
guidance will be given to overcome these obstacles.
Should the employee fail to meet the required standards of performance or behavior
their appointment will be terminate at the end of the probation period or sooner in the
event of such failure necessitating earlier termination or dismissal.
During the probation period, all Higgins Construction Company rules, procedures and
regulations will apply with the exception of those, which are affected by the
probationary period.
HOURS OF WORK
Your normal working hours are from 09h30 to 17h30 from Mondays - Fridays.
JOB CONTRACT DURATION
Five year, renewable every year / permanent staff.
SCOPE OF WORK SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Devote all your time and attention during normal business working hours and such
reasonable amount of additional time as may be necessary on an unpaid basis having
regard to the exigencies of the assignments of the Higgins Construction Company to
the business and affairs of the Higgins Construction Company.
You shall not devote any time or attention during normal working hours to any other
concern or business without the previous written consent of the Higgins Construction
Company having been obtained.
At all times faithfully, promptly and punctually carry out and perform all your duties as
may confirm with your position or with such duties or functions that may be delegated
or assigned to you on behalf of the Directors or by your superior.
Generally use your best endeavors properly to conduct, improve, extend, develop and
protect the business and interest of the Higgins Construction Company in order to
preserve its reputation and goodwill.
Submit to the Directors or your immediate superior such information as may be
required in connection with the business or affairs of the Higgins Construction
Company, and prepare such report in such form as may be required by the Directors
or by your immediate superior.
Not during the currency of your engagement or at any time thereafter, whether for
your own benefit or that of other directly or indirectly, make use or avail yourself of, or
derive profits from or divulge or communicate to any person or persons (save as may
be necessary for the performance of your obligations in terms hereof), confidential
information or knowledge (including but not limited to the Higgins Construction
Company’s trade secrets, business processes, trade connections, clients, client lists,
marketing techniques, financial affairs and dealings) in relation to the business or
affairs of the Higgins Construction Company which you shall or may have acquired by
your association with the business of the Higgins Construction Company or its
subsidiaries or associates.
Remain just and faithful to the Higgins Construction Company in the performance of
your duties.
Not during the currency of this employment or at any time thereafter encourage or
persuade or entice or assist or attempt to encourage or persuade or entice or assist
any employee of the Higgins Construction Company, holding company, subsidiary or
associated partners to leave the employment of the Higgins Construction Company.
JOB COMMENCEMENT/ LOCATION
The work Location will be within the Higgins Construction Company. Further details
included in your hard copy. You are to report immediately to the HR Manager upon
arrival to conclude prospects of screening and other logistics.
SALARY INDICATION
You will be eligible to receive US11, 500 (Eleven Thousand Five Hundred USD
Only) –Basic (After tax) Monthly. Salary can be transferred to any Bank designated by the
employee.

ALLOWANCES/ ENTITLEMENTS
Hazard/Inconveniences: 220.00 USD (Monthly)
Car Maintenance: 150.00 USD (Monthly)
House Maintenance: 2000.00 USD (Yearly)
Entertainment & Recreation: 200.00 USD (Monthly)
GRANTS & LOANS
Housing Loan: One-year service to Higgins Construction Company.
Is required for eligibility.
Starter’s amount will be 50,971.00 USD
Can be re-paid within 10years with 0.00 USD interest.
Lieu Car Loan: All Employees are eligible to apply.
Starter’s amount will be 10,045.00 USD
Can be re-paid within 5years with 0.00 USD interest.
ANNUAL LEAVE
You will be entitled to 30 (thirty) working days leave per annum. Leave must be taken
at such time or times as are convenient to the Higgins Construction Company. Leave
not taken when it is due can be accumulated.
SICK LEAVE
You shall be entitled to paid sick leave for bona fide illness or injury in terms of the
Basic Conditions of Employment Act 75 of 1997.
EXPENSES BEFORE TRAVEL BY EMPLOYEE
Expenses made/incurred by the employee related to job before commencement of
duties or Expenses made during Travel Plans, Processing of Travel Particulars etc
will be substantiated with receipts and Employer will re-imburse the Employee not
later than Five (5) working days after submission of Employee’s expense Report and
Receipts as proofs of such Expenses.
Employer however agrees to reimburse fully all Travel costs and Expenses made by
Employee. The agreement hereby binds Employer and Employee in that reimbursements
will be made fully to Employees upon presentation of Expense Reports
and Receipts of Expenses.
UPFRONT PAYMENT OF SALARIES
Three months salary shall be paid in advance before Candidates embark on journey
to assume duty. This is to enable candidates settle all domestic needs before travel.
As such no excuses will be entertained on assumption of duty relating to default.
Employees (Expatriates) are to note that 3-MONTHS UPFRONT SALARIES are paid
as soon as Employees Procure and Process the relevant Resident/ Work Permit
Documents from the VISA OFFICE and submit it to the Human Resources
Department for Verification.
All payment of Salary after assumption of duty shall be paid into any account provided
by employee.
BENEFITS/ACCOMODATION
All Employees are expected to reside at the Higgins Construction Company’s Staff
quarters.
Which are three bed room flat for family status and one bed room flat for single status
/ already furnished.
Car for employees to use during contract.
Dietary options, Customized cooks and Dieticians are available options incase of local
dishes, we have Chefs from various countries to handle such.
MEDICAL BENEFITS
Higgins Construction Company provides free medical assistance to employee for the
term of contract, and follow-on care for injuries suffered during the term of contract for
employee and family.
OFFICE ASSETS TO BE PROVIDED BY EMPLOYER
COMPUTER RESOURCES:
Laptop Computer, 1.6 GHz Processor, 256 MB RAM, 24XCD-RW, 30GB Hard Drive,
Integrated Network Adapter, Internal 56K
Modem, Spare Battery and Necessary Software. Full time Internet access is also
made available.
Phones:
Employer will provide each employee with one (1) landline and one (1) mobile
telephone. This shall have a reasonable credit limit application per month.
SAFETY & SECURITY
Safety and security of personnel (Local/Foreign) and facilities on Job Locations and
communities are no small issues, and have been seriously considered to ensure and assure
hitch free operations.
All operations on Job Location are designed to adhere strictly to the Health Safety and
Environment.
All expatriates are entitled to a free and mandatory safety courses on Job Locations to be
delivered by qualified safety and environment experts.
CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
You will not, during the period of your employment or at any time thereafter, utilize
either directly or indirectly or divulge or disclose to others, any of the Higgins
Construction Company trade secrets which shall include inter alia, the following:
All transaction training and management reports, prospective or current students,
client or candidate information, memoranda, advice and information.
All internal control systems including management and administration.
Details of the Higgins Construction Company relationship with its partners and
customers.
Details of the Higgins Construction Company financial structure and operating
results.
The contractual relationship between the Higgins Construction Company and others
with whom it has business arrangements of whatsoever nature.
All reports, manuals, financial statements, budges, client information, books, files,
research papers, letters, or other similar documents, (the nature of which is not
limited by the specific referenced items) which are created, compiled or devised or
brought into being by you or come into your possession during the course and
scope of your employment by the Higgins Construction Company and all copies
thereof shall be the property of the Higgins Construction Company. Upon the
termination of your employment, or earlier if required by the Higgins Construction
Company, such documents and all copies, whether retained on paper, magnetic
tape, computer disc or otherwise, must be returned by you to the Higgins
Construction Company.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Recreational/Sports Facilities shall also be made available at the disposal of all
expatriates with no expenses to be incurred. Laundry and Dry Cleaning Service will
also be made available to all Expatriates by the Higgins Construction Company's
laundry and dry cleaning unit.
DOCUMENTS PROCESSING WORK/RESIDENCE PERMIT VISA.
The Employee is requested to contact the below office who shall be responsible for
the processing of employee Valid Work/Residence Permit Visa and then should
forward it to the HR of HIGGINS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY for Verification and
authenticity confirmation.
Hence any expenses incurred during this process shall be refunded to the
candidate after 5 working days of concluding all Immigration arrangement and
documentations.
You are required to contact the employment department of the IMMIGRATION
OFFICE below to obtain your VISA, PERMANENT RESIDENT and WORK
PERMIT without delay or refusal in 10 working days.

you shall not in any way prejudice or be deemed to be a waiver of its rights
hereunder, nor shall such relaxation or indulgence preclude or stop the Higgins
Construction Company from exercising its rights in terms hereof in respect of any
