[email protected] - Sender email address

Very likely the sender's email address is forged. Almost every person attending stanford University can afford not to scam people... Not to mention the chance they would take by getting a criminal record and prosecution by using the USA as an origin point of their scam.

If you could show the complete headers, it is likely an IP address could verify if the sender's address is forged or not. But it is good having both, thank you.

This is all the info i could get:
Email IP: 171.67.219.73
Country: US
ISP: Stanford University

it looks like you figured out how to do the complete headers

I still find it hard to believe a student @ Stanford would do this on purpose. Chances are good they got malware in their system, and the scammers have hijacked their email accounts. The student probably doesn't even know it.

But at least you can see why they use 1 email account to "Send" email from, and another to "Receive" email to from the scams they send out. That is more important to see than whatever might be going on with this particular email.
