Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.
by sarahellis Mon Mar 30, 2015 3:48 pm
I was emailed last week by someone claiming to be the HR manager for a company called Dasscorp Consulting saying that they had seen an ad I had put up looking for work and that they had and entry level position that they felt I would be perfect for. I was a little hesitant at first but thought why not reply right? so I did and got an email back with an application form and job description.
The job was for entry level operations manager, it had good benefits and pay for I stupidly applied for it.
the next day they had emailed me saying that they would like to offer me a job and just needed some paperwork to finalize then I could start.
they had asked for my account info, and to sign an employment agreement. then a phone interview as hey apparently don't have any offices in my state.I thought this job was suspicious but when I initially looked into the company nothing looked too odd.
I have just realized upon finding this site that all the emails I got and etc was exactly the same as someone had posted up here back in 2013 just they had a different name.
I have already given them my details and now I am scared. I was suppose to start tomorrow and I don't know what to do.??????
I realize now that its obviously money laundering and i could have gotten into alot of trouble but it didn't seem too odd at first.

I got in contact with them and voiced my concerns and they gave me there ABN number, could someone look it up and see if its legit??

ABN 72 131 087 600

The number could well be legitimate, but it is meaningless - the people you are dealing with are scammers and could have stolen the details of a real company.

No legitimate job involves receiving money in your personal bank account and then sending it elsewhere by an untraceable method like Western Union. Only scammers do that, so that when their crime is discovered, it will be you who is investigated and possibly charged with money laundering.

Just block them and stop all contact, they will continue to lie to you and try to convince you they are legitimate.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Almost certainly a stolen identity

But this site and the job offers are 100% scam!

The real Australian company is
DASSCORP PTY LTD
Tel: 72 131 087 600
Based in New South Wales rather than Queensland

Hi.

Sorry Ive only just joinmed this forum. I have been approached by dasscorp, and have only just come across this forum now.

I have spoken to Michelle twice on the phone, and have recieved two payments and transferred thinking that everything was fine.

then recieved message from bank advising that had recieve stolen funds, What i dont understand tho, the time that I was at the bank I emailed michelle and told her that the police where involved, Now if this was a scam she would have dissapeared, but she emailed back advising that was mistake as clients wife did not know what was happening and called theft, hence the account frozen.

So what happens now??? The bank manager said that would be cleared tomoroow.

Should I still be concerned???

Please help me   :yikes:

The scammer is trying to convince you that everything is OK in the hope that he can persuade you to receive and launder more money for him.

No legitimate job involves receiving money in your personal bank account and transferring it elsewhere, the scammer has tried to use you to launder stolen money for him, making you an accessory to his crime. You need to cooperate fully with your bank and also contact the police to advise them that you are the victim of a money mule scam - and provide them with all the details of "Michelle". Also, cut off all contact with the scammer - do not tell them you know it is a scam or give them excuses, just stop contact and block them

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
